Since the start of JEE Advanced Examination in the Year 2013, the Registrations in JEE Advanced 2025 is the highest ever
The JEE Advanced 2025 registration has concluded on 2 May. A record of highest ever registrations has been set in the JEE Advanced 2025 Application process.
The JEE Advanced 2025 examination will be held on 18 May 2025. The registrations for JEE Advanced started on 23 April and completed on May 2. The last date for payment of examination fees was 5 May.
In the past years, the highest registrations took place in the year 2023 whose figure was 189487, whereas in the year 2024, the registration was slightly less at 186584. Meanwhile, over 1.90 lakh eligible candidates have filed applications for JEE Advanced 2025 which is record of highest ever registrations for any JEE Advanced examination till date.
This year 250236 top candidates of JEE Main 2025 examination have qualified for JEE Advanced 2025 examination. Out of these, 77 percent candidates have applied for JEE Advanced this year, while 23 percent, about 58000, have not applied. Whereas, this number has been from 60 thousand to 1.02 lakh in the past years.
If we talk about the last 6 years, out of 15.08 lakh candidates who qualified from JEE Main, only 10.22 lakh have applied for the JEE Advanced examination. At the same time, out of 10.22 lakh candidates who applied, 52000 candidates did not take the exam. Overall, about 5.38 lakh qualified candidates did not take the exam. This is 35.71 percent of the candidates who qualified.
In the year 2019, there were 17762 candidates who did not apply for the Advanced exam despite qualifying. In the year 2020, this number increased to 89843. After this, there were 98993 such candidates in 2021, while in 2022 the number reached 102137. However, after this the number suddenly decreased and was the lowest in 2023 at 60763. After this, in the last year 2024, this figure was 63700.
