JEE Advanced 2025: IIT Kanpur Issues Third Attempt Guidelines for Eligible Aspirants

IIT Kanpur is the Organizer of JEE Advanced 2025 Exam

IIT Kanpur will conduct the JEE Advanced 2025 Examination. Consequent to the recent order of the Supreme Court of India (pertaining to Writ Petition (Civil) Nos. 854/2024 and 17/2025) dated 10.01.2025, IIT Kanpur has issued a notification as per which the students who appeared in their class 12 examination for the first time in 2023 and have withdrawn from their courses and dropped out between 05.11.2024 to 18.11.2024 would be permitted to register for JEE (Advanced) 2025.

All such prospective candidates who thus become eligible to register for JEE (Advanced) 2025 are requested by IIT Kanpur to see Annexure VI for more details.

Annexure-VI: Details of the Prospective Candidates Eligible

As per the Annexure VI, here are the details for prospective Candidates eligible to register for JEE (ADVANCED) 2025 as per the order of the Supreme court of India in WP(C) Nos. 854/2024 AND 17/2025. Consequent to the recent order of the Supreme Court of India (pertaining to Writ Petition (Civil) Nos. 854/2024 and 17/2025) dated 10.01.2025, students who appeared in their class 12 examination for the first time in 2023 and have withdrawn from their courses and dropped out between 05.11.2024 to 18.11.2024 would be permitted to register for JEE (Advanced) 2025, subject to satisfying all other applicable eligibility criteria as outlined in Clause 11 of this Information Brochure.

Mandatory Uploads for Eligible Candidates

Such students will be required to mandatorily upload all the following documents to register and appear in JEE (Advanced) 2025 as per the aforementioned order.

    1. A letter duly stamped and signed, from the Head of their Institution (Dean/Principal/Director), as per the format given in FORM- WITHDRAWN-CERTIFICATE.
    2. An affidavit duly stamped and attested by a notary public, on a non- judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10 as per the format given in FORM- WITHDRAWN-AFFIDAVIT. The affidavit should be of the candidate if she/he is more than 18 years of age. If the candidate is less than 18 years of age, the affidavit should be given by her/his parent or legal guardian.
    3. Withdrawal letter/notification issued to the candidate from her/his college/university/institute.

Note: If at any stage it is found that any information or documents provided in the submitted documents are incorrect or forged, the candidature of the candidate will be immediately cancelled and appropriate legal actions may be initiated against the candidate.
