Here are excerpts from the interviews of JEE Advanced 2024 Toppers in which they shared their success mantra

The subject becomes stronger by removing mistakes: Rajit Gupta

‘Happiness is the key to my success. I am happy in every situation. I never followed a strict schedule for studies, because it creates unnecessary pressure. So I used to study only when I felt like it, but whatever time I studied, I studied well’.

This is what Rajit Gupta, who has once again brought fame to the Career City Kota on the world stage by securing All India Rank-1 in the country’s most prestigious engineering entrance exam JEE Advanced.

He is a local resident of Kota and has earlier increased the prestige of Kota, the Kashi of education, by securing 100 percentile in JEE Main January session and All India Rank 16 in JEE Main April session. Rajit had passed 10th class with 96.8 percent marks.

Rajit, a regular classroom student of ALLEN Career Institute, said that while studying at ALLEN, the main focus was that I should not repeat the mistakes, because only when the mistakes are removed, the foundation of your subject becomes strong.

My key of success is happiness. I remain happy in every situation. Even now, if I get a chance, I play with the children of the colony. I am confident about my preparation. I never followed a strict schedule for studies, because it creates unnecessary pressure.

Therefore, I used to study only when I felt like it, but for whatever time I studied, I studied well. I would study further in the topic only after clearing my doubts.

For the first time in the history of Kota coaching, a local student from Kota topped JEE Advanced

This time the result of JEE Advanced 2025 is very special for the career city Kota. Students studying from coaching institutes of Kota have secured All India Rank 1 in NEET and JEE Advanced many times but this is the first time that a local student of Kota has achieved this feat. Allen student Rajit Gupta, who has secured All India Rank 1 in JEE Advanced 2025, lives in Mahavir Nagar, Kota.

This sequence of success is not new in Rajit’s family. The environment of study and discipline existed in the family from the beginning. Rajit’s father Deepak Gupta was also a regular classroom student of Allen Career Institute in 1994. He prepared for Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test (RPET) from Allen and secured 48th rank.

Rajit’s father Deepak said that I myself have studied under Allen’s director Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari Sir. There was not much craze for IIT in our time. At that time there were only three engineering colleges in Rajasthan, so RPET was considered a very prestigious exam. I did B.Tech from Kota Engineering College and then M.Tech from NIT Prayagraj (Allahabad at that time). Currently I am a subdivision engineer in BSNL.

Deepak Gupta said that I too had studied from Allen, then I was familiar with Allen’s effective and efficient teaching methodology, so when the time came to enroll my son for JEE preparation, I did not have any second thoughts about the institute. He said, trusting my son’s talent and Allen’s studies, I immediately enrolled him in Allen Kota for JEE coaching.

‘Preparation for a competitive exam like JEE is definitely challenging, but when there is dedication, clear purpose and strong guidance, no goal is impossible. Choosing Kota and preparing for JEE from Allen proved to be a turning point for my career’.

This is what Saksham Jindal, a resident of Hisar, Haryana, said. He has brought glory to Career City Kota as well as his family by securing All India Rank– in JEE Advanced. Saksham has been a classroom student of Allen Career Institute for the last two years. He scored 100 percentile in JEE Main January and also secured All India Rank 10 in JEE Main April session.

Saksham has earlier passed 10th class with 98 percent marks. While this year, along with cracking JEE Advanced, he has also passed 12th class with 96.4 percent marks. Saksham has played cricket at Under 14 district level. On the question of making a career in cricket, Saksham said that I wanted to go into this field but, during Covid, the practice was stopped and then my focus was completely on studies.

He told that both his parents are doctors. They always gave me freedom. They let me do what I wanted to do. It is because of them that I could study without any pressure and that is the reason why I could achieve such great success in JEE Advanced. Maths has been my favorite subject since the beginning, so I decided to make a career in it. I had a dream of going to IIT Mumbai, which is now going to come true.

Along with Allen, the educational environment of Kota has also contributed to my success. Here everyone inspires each other to achieve success and there is also healthy competition here. I always tried my best to understand each chapter in depth. I used to practice the questions again and again.

This strengthened my confidence. In JEE Main, there is no need for any reference book or material other than NCERT syllabus. The modules and study material provided by Allen are perfect. Weekly tests improved my performance and regular doubt solving strengthened my grip on the topics. Many times when my performance started to falter during studies, Allen’s mentors and faculties would motivate me. This constant support was very important for me. It kept my thinking positive.

There is a passion for studies everywhere in Kota: Akshat Chourasiya

Akshat Chaurasia, a resident of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, has brought laurels to Kota coaching by securing All India Rank 10 in JEE Advanced 2025. Akshat has been a regular classroom student at Allen Career Institute for the last two years. Akshat has passed class 10 with 97.2 percent and class 12 with 97 percent marks. Not only this, in the 12th board exam, Akshat has scored full 100 out of 100 marks in Maths and Chemistry. While he secured All India Rank 72 in JEE Mains 2025. Apart from this, Akshat has also played chess at the state level.

Akshat told that I had given Tallentex exam in which I was ranked in top 25. At that time I came to Kota and saw that Kota is a perfect city for education. Here passion for studies is seen everywhere. The educational environment here is so good that students get inspired from each other. I would like to say that if I had not come to Kota, I would not have been able to achieve such a great success. My mother also lived with me in Kota. Living with her gave me emotional support as well as mental stability, which is very important for any student while preparing for an exam like JEE.

The teachers at Allen helped me a lot. They taught me with full dedication. The modules and study material provided by Allen are perfect. My elder sister has completed B.Tech from IIT Bhagalpur. She has also contributed a lot to my success. She used to guide me. After completing B.Tech from IIT Mumbai, I want to do some innovation which will bring a big change in the field of technology and will also be useful for the country.

There cannot be a better city than Kota: Devesh Pankaj Bhaiya

‘People call Mumbai the city of dreams but I consider Kota the city of dreams. Because here the dream of thousands and lakhs of students to become doctors and engineers comes true. It was only after coming to Kota that I realized what studying is.

This is what Devesh Pankaj Bhaiya, who secured All India Rank in JEE Advanced, said. Devesh has been a regular classroom student of Allen Career Institute for the last six years. Earlier, he had also secured All India Rank 65 by scoring 99.9976 percentile in JEE Main. Earlier, he had passed 10th class with 96 percent marks. While this year, he had secured 97.6 percent marks in 12th class along with JEE Advanced.

Devesh said that coming to Kota proved to be a turning point for me. Had I not come to Kota, I would not have got so much career guidance. There can be no better city than Kota for studies. Here I just followed the guidance of the faculties and worked hard. Success came automatically. Allen Career Institute supported me at every step.

Devesh has been a brilliant student since the beginning. He has won the gold medal twice in IJSO. Till now he has won more than 500 gold medals in various national, international and state Olympiads. Apart from this, he has also been awarded the Bal Shakti Puraskar by the Prime Minister of India in the year 2020.

Devesh’s father Pankaj is an architect and mother Pallavi is an interior designer. During his studies, his mother has also been living in Kota for the last six years. Elder sister Kalash has also studied in Kota and has been a student of Allen Global Study Division (AGSD). Kalash is currently studying computer engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada. On the other hand, Devesh has also been selected in the world’s number one educational institute MIT.
