JEE Apex Board To Conduct JEE Main Examination For 2024 & 2025

The Ministry Of Education Has Issued A Notification To Announce The Change

The Ministry of Education has just released a pivotal notification that sheds light on sweeping changes in the administrative landscape and board structure of the JEE Apex Board (JAB) responsible for overseeing the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). These developments are poised to reshape the management of this critical examination in the near future.

According to the official statement, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to play a central role in handling the technological support aspects of JEE. Simultaneously, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) will assume a key role in managing critical back-end tasks, encompassing activities both before and after the exams, including the crucial application submission process.

The decision to reconstitute the JEE Apex Board has been made with the intent of ensuring a seamless administration of the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams for the academic years 2024 and 2025, following the culmination of the previous JAB’s tenure.

The official notice stipulates that NTA will be responsible for providing administrative and logistical support, playing a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of the JEE entrance exams. It’s noteworthy, however, that the JAB will retain ultimate authority in establishing policies, rules, and regulations governing the examination process. Furthermore, the board will also collaborate with the designated conducting institute to ensure the smooth coordination of the JEE Advanced exams.

The JEE Main examinations serve as the gateway for aspiring students aiming for admission to various engineering programs offered by renowned institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). Success in the JEE Main exams is a fundamental prerequisite for students wishing to qualify for the JEE Advanced exams, which grant access to some of the country’s most esteemed engineering institutions.

These transformative changes in the administrative framework for JEE signify a significant step forward in streamlining the examination process and elevating the overall experience for aspiring engineering students nationwide. They underscore the commitment to upholding the high standards and integrity of these crucial examinations.
