This year 8 lakh 69 thousand 10 students appeared for the JEE Main BE /B.Tech examination. Along with releasing the result, the final answer key for all the 6 shifts of JEE main was also released by the NTA.
Changes made into the Final Answer key by NTA
According to the assessment of results, the answers to 22 questions of all the 6 shifts have been changed in the answer key that was released by NTA. Of these, 16 questions were numerical and 6 questions were multiple choice. Out of the 16 numerical based questions, the range of answers for 12 of the questions has been changed and in addition to this, there has been a change in the answers for the remaining 4 questions. Also, in the 6 multiple choice questions, 3 questions were eliminated and the bonus points for the same were provided. A maximum change of 7 answers was made in the evening shift of 9th January.
Didn’t score expected percentile, don’t panic
According to the counselling expert of Allen Career Institute, the students who did not score an expected percentile need not be disappointed as these students still have the JEE Main (April) Examination remaining and besides this, the students still have an opportunity to get into to a good engineering institute. Apart from IITs NITs in the country, there are many other well-known engineering institutes like Bits Pilani, IIIT Hyderabad, VIT Vellore Manipal Mangalore, Amrita Chennai, SRM Chennai, Jamia Delhi, AMU Aligarh, QSAT Kerala, COMEDK Karnataka, UPES Dehradun, Banasthali Jaipur, ISI Kolkata, CMI Chennai, NMAT MUMBAI, and LPU Punjab.

The application process of many of these institutions has begun. Apart from this, students can also apply for their respective state’s engineering colleges. Based on the JEE Main’s score and All India Rank students can apply to various other engineering institutes from April to mid-May.
Opportunity to apply for JEE Main 2020 (April )
Students will be given an opportunity between 7th February to 7th March to apply for the JEE Main April exam. The JEE Main April exam will be a computer-based test (CBT) and will be conducted between April 3 to 9. The NTA score of the April examination will be released on 30th April. Also, based on the highest NTA score in both January and April examinations, All India Rank will be announced and the top 2 lakh 50 thousand students will be declared eligible to appear for JEE-Advanced. Students who will be declared eligible for the JEE-Advanced examination will have to apply for the examination from May 1- 2.
