The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the image correction window to allow candidates to adhere to the specified guidelines for photograph uploads in their JEE Main 2024 applications.
For those who have submitted applications for the JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam and intend to make adjustments to their uploaded photographs, the image correction window is accessible for the designated period. As per the provided schedule, candidates can utilize this opportunity until January 6, 2024.
An official notification highlights that some candidates have uploaded photographs that do not meet the required specifications for JEE Main 2024. In response, the NTA is facilitating a chance for these candidates to re-upload photographs in compliance with the specified guidelines, preventing the rejection of their JEE Main 2024 applications.
Key Image Correction Specifications for JEE Main 2024 Application:
- Passport size Photograph (size: 10 kb to 200 kb): Recent photograph in color or black & white with 80% face visibility, including ears, against a white background.
- Spectacles allowed only if regularly used.
- Polaroid and Computer-generated photos are not acceptable.
- Photographs need not be attested.
- Candidates are advised to keep 6 to 8 passport-size color photographs with a white background. Fabricated or distorted photographs may lead to application rejection.
Steps to Perform Image Correction in JEE Main 2024 Application:
- Visit the official website of JEE Main 2024 Session 1.
- Log in using the application number and password.
- Click on the image correction link.
- Upload the images according to the specified guidelines.
- Save the changes and click on submit.
