1. Pattern Awareness of JEE Main 2025 Exam

JEE Main has two papers: Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech and Paper 2 for B.Arch and B.Planning. Paper 1 is highly massive in attendance. So, let’s go for a concise version:

JEE Main Paper 1 for B.E./B.Tech

  • Test is Computer-Based Test or in other words CBT
  • Test duration: 3 hours
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
  • Total Questions: 90; 30 each subject
  • Section A: 20 multiple choice types MCQs
  • Section B: 10 numerical value questions of which only 5 have to be answered
  • Marking Scheme:

MCQs: +4 for correct answers, -1 for incorrect answers

Numerical Value Questions: +4 for correct answers, no negative marking

These involve 300 marks. The most important thing about time management is in these sections, the numerical section more so because it takes more time in the calculations.

JEE Main Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning)

  • Type: Integrated (Mathematics Aptitude CBT; Paper and Pen to be used for Drawing).
  • Papers: Mathematics paper, Aptitude Test and Drawing Test (for B.Arch) or planning-based questions (for B.Planning).
  • Marks: 400
  • Duration: 3 Hours

This paper is designed for architecture and planning students and tests both technical competence along with innovative skills.

2. JEE Main 2025 Syllabus

Changes for JEE Main 2025

    • NTA has altered the pattern of the JEE Mains 2025 exam for each of the three papers – Paper 1 (BE/BTech), Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlan).Under the new pattern, optional questions in the JEE Main exam 2025 for Paper 1, won’t be there in Section B.The number of questions of one subject is 5 and the candidates have to answer all the 5.Similarly, in Papers 2A and 2B, there will be no optional questions in the Mathematics section.Candidates can check the new JEE Main 2025 exam pattern released by NTA here. – Syllabus Modifications: The syllabus doesn’t change much year-by-year, and a student needs to look at the latest available one on the NTA’s website so no one misses out on anything contained in the curriculum.
    • Date and Time of Examination: JEE Main has two different dates in January and April. In this trend, a student gets two attempts at making attempts. It, in fact, reduces stress and gives an opportunity to a candidate for good marks.
    • More Calculation-Based Questions: Since there are more questions with numerical values, the questions may tend to be slightly more calculation-based, especially for Physics and Mathematics.
    • Pattern – Always look for any change in the pattern or policy that comes out from NTA in case of 2025.

3. Helpful Tips on JEE Main 2025 Preparation

This is an extremely competitive examination. Hence, the preparation should be efficient. Some of the best tips are mentioned below:

    • Questions may be a good number of Calculus, Mechanics, Electrostatics, and Organic Chemistry which must form the core of most of preparation.
    • Timed Mock Tests: Practicing under the pressures of the examination, with speed and accuracy coming under scanner through mock tests and making as many mistakes as one possibly could in the attempt of such a paper.
    • Now, numerals: There is good emphasis on numerical questions so do your practice calculations in Mathematics and Physics.
    • Revisions: Clear core concepts, formulae, problem-solving techniques. Do not miss to incorporate time for revisions in your study plan.
    • Time Management: So, arm yourself with some time management skills so that you will be able to spend an adequate amount of time in numerals questions without any kind of time constraint.
