Do’s and Don’ts for JEE Main 2025 April Session Exam

JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Exam is Starting from 2 April

JEE Main 2025 Session 2 is approaching fast with only few days left for the examination starting from 2nd April. Aspirants are all geared up to take this coveted engineering examination.

JEE Main Examination is not only a gateway to admission in the engineering colleges of the country but is also a screening examination for the JEE Advanced Examination so aspirants must take this examination seriously.

While JEE Main facilitates admission to the NIT, IIIT and Government funded Technical Institutions, JEE Advanced is the entry ticket to the premier IIT institutes of the country.

Although the journey to success in JEE Main examination can be accomplished through pursuing Do’s & Don’ts. Here is a quick guide to the do’s and don’ts that you should remember for the JEE Main examination.

Do’s for JEE Main Examination:

  1. Reach Early

Try to reach the exam venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Make sure you have all the required documents, such as your admit card, undertaking form, and a valid photo ID.

  1. Maintain a Positive Attitude

A calm and positive attitude will reduce stress while answering the exam. It helps maintain concentration levels and enhances one’s thinking process.

  1. Verify Attendance Records

Upon entering the exam center, check all details on the attendance sheet and ensure your signature is correctly placed.

  1. Avoid Distractions

Do not indulge in unwanted conversations. It may lead to expulsion from the exam hall for disturbing others.

  1. Read Instructions Cautiously

Before beginning, read the question paper and the response sheets properly. Reading instructions helps in managing the exam effectively.

  1. Time Management

Analyze the difficulty of each question, categorize them, and time yourself accordingly. Starting with an easy question or two can boost confidence, helping you manage time efficiently.

Don’ts for JEE Main Examination:

  1. Guesswork

Guessing answers can lead to negative markings. It’s best to skip uncertain questions and return to them later.

  1. Don’t Over-focus on One Question

Time management is crucial. Don’t spend too much time on a single question. If you’re stuck, move on and attempt it later during the exam.

  1. Avoid Tardiness

Late arrivals may cause you to miss crucial instructions or delay your commencement. Make sure to arrive at the venue much earlier.

  1. Do Not Bring Electronic Devices

Mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, and any other electronic devices are not allowed in the exam hall. Leave them outside.

  1. Wear Comfortable Attire

Dress comfortably so that you are not distracted by discomfort during the exam.

Prohibited Items Guidelines:

  • All kinds of electronic gadgets including mobile phones, smartwatches and Calculators etc are prohibited at the examination centre so aspirants should not bring them.
  • Stationery items like geometry boxes, pencil boxes or papers are forbidden at the examination except for the B. Arch exam.
  • Aspirants will not be allowed to carry personal Items like earphone, microphones, handbags, Purses, etc to the Examination hall.
  • No metal Items like tape recorders, cameras, and all metallic items including metal bands and Kara are prohibited at the examination centre.
  • Eatables are also forbidden for the aspirants except the diabetes patients. Eatables like snacks, tea, coffee, chips, etc. are restricted prohibited in the examination hall.

For a hassle free exam day, aspirants should follow these guidelines. Aspirants should stay relax and approach examination day with a positive approach. Good luck!!
