Try to reach the exam venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Make sure you have all the required documents, such as your admit card, undertaking form, and a valid photo ID.
A calm and positive attitude will reduce stress while answering the exam. It helps maintain concentration levels and enhances one’s thinking process.
Upon entering the exam center, check all details on the attendance sheet and ensure your signature is correctly placed.
Do not indulge in unwanted conversations. It may lead to expulsion from the exam hall for disturbing others.
Before beginning, read the question paper and the response sheets properly. Reading instructions helps in managing the exam effectively.
Analyze the difficulty of each question, categorize them, and time yourself accordingly. Starting with an easy question or two can boost confidence, helping you manage time efficiently.
Guessing answers can lead to negative markings. It’s best to skip uncertain questions and return to them later.
Time management is crucial. Don’t spend too much time on a single question. If you’re stuck, move on and attempt it later during the exam.
Late arrivals may cause you to miss crucial instructions or delay your commencement. Make sure to arrive at the venue much earlier.
Mobile phones, calculators, smart watches, and any other electronic devices are not allowed in the exam hall. Leave them outside.
Dress comfortably so that you are not distracted by discomfort during the exam
Success at the JEE Main is not acquired overnight. To avoid common pitfalls, just let go of tension before the exam with the guidelines elaborated here and be ready with the right frame of mind for your dreams to come true. Good luck!!
