NTA has issued Advisory and instructions for the aspirants of JEE Main 2025 Session-1 (January Session) ahead of the commencement of the examinations from tomorrow, 22 January 2025. NTA has issued the notification in which important instructions have been released for the aspirants of the JEE Main 2025 January Session Exam.

NTA has asserted that the aspirants must have downloaded the Admit Card and are now fully prepared to appear for the JEE (Main) – 2025 Session 1 Examination on the Date, Shift, Course, and Venue of the Test Centre as indicated on the Admit Card downloaded from the NTA website https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/

Things to Keep in Mind

  1. Please check the following as indicated on the Admit Card:
    • Date of Examination
    • Shift and Timings of Test
    • Venue of Test
    • Reporting Time at Centre
    • Gate Closing time of Centre
  2. You should visit the Examination Centre in advance to familiarize yourself with the location and means of reaching the venue on time.
  3. Candidates who did not register through Aadhaar need to report at least 1 hour earlier on the day of the examination for biometric recording.
  4. On the day of the examination, several pre-examination formalities need to be completed. Arrive on time, as late entry beyond the gate closing time will not be allowed.
  5. Important documents/items to carry on the day of the examination:
    • Admit Card downloaded from the NTA website (a clear, preferably colour printout on A4 size paper).
    • At least two passport photographs (one to be pasted on the Attendance Sheet at the Centre).
    • A valid Photo ID Proof as uploaded in the online application in ORIGINAL (photocopies or images stored on mobile phones will NOT be accepted).
    • PwD/PwBD certificate (if applicable) as issued by the Competent Authority.
  6. Ensure that all details on the attendance sheet are entered in legible handwriting, including your signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression, and pasted photograph.
  7. Familiarize yourself with the computer-based examination format.
  8. Ensure the Question Paper on the computer screen matches your opted subject/medium as indicated on the Admit Card.
  9. For the Drawing Test (Part III of B. Arch.): Bring your own Geometry Box Set, Pencils, Erasers, and Colour Pencils or Crayons (watercolours are not allowed).
  10. Candidates are NOT allowed to carry items such as:
    • Instrument/Geometry/Pencil box
    • Handbag/Purse
    • Any kind of Paper/Stationery/Textual material
    • Eatables/Water (except for diabetic students as specified)
    • Mobile Phone/Ear Phone/Microphone/Pager
    • Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder
    • Any type of watch, including Electronic Watches with calculator facilities
    • Any metallic item or electronic gadgets/devices
  11. Diabetic students are allowed to carry specific eatables and a transparent water bottle.
  12. Candidates undergoing bio-break/toilet must undergo frisking and biometrics again.
  13. Blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided. Candidates must write their name and Roll Number on each sheet and drop them in the designated drop box before leaving.
  14. The duly filled-in Admit Card must be dropped in the designated drop box while leaving the Examination Hall/Room.
  15. Carefully read and abide by the Subject-Specific Instructions and General Instructions mentioned in the Question paper.
  16. Review all instructions in the Admit Card and Information Bulletin.
