JEE Main 2025 Session 1 (22 Jan) Paper Analysis by ALLEN

Chemistry and Physics easy and Maths lengthy

The first session of the country’s largest engineering entrance exam for admission to BE-BTech courses, JEE Main-January 2025, started on Wednesday. The exam was conducted on computer based test mode. Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari, Director, Allen Career Institute Private Limited, said that the paper has been analyzed on the basis of students’ feedback


According to the information received from the students, the paper of Chemistry and Physics was easy and Maths was long. This year 25-25 questions were asked in Physics, Chemistry and Maths, and all the questions of section 2 were compulsory. Students did not face any technical problem on the first day. Chemistry paper was easy in the evening shift. Physics was of medium level and Maths was more difficult and lengthy as compared to morning.

Chemistry

The Chemistry paper was easy in the morning shift. 30% questions were asked from Inorganic Chemistry, 35% each from Organic and Physical Chemistry. Statement and matching list questions were also asked in single option questions in the paper.

The paper in the evening shift was also easy like the morning shift. In this, questions from all topics were covered. In which most of the questions were statement based. In the evening shift, the weightage of questions from Organic Chemistry was more.

Physics

In the morning shift paper, one question each was asked from Units and Dimensions, Basic Mathematics and Vectors, Kinematics, Work Power and Energy, Capacitance, Sound Waves, Electromagnetic Waves and Wave Optics, Modern Physics, Fluid Mechanics, Errors in Measurements and Instruments and Semiconductors. While two questions were asked from Rotational Dynamics and three each from Electricity Heat and Thermodynamics, Geometrical Optics, Electrostatics and Current Electricity.

The paper in the evening shift was easier than the morning shift. Three questions each were asked from Work Energy Power, Elasticity, Heat Thermodynamics, Electro Magnetic and Optics Wave and two questions were asked from Modern Physics. Apart from this, there was one question each from all topics.

Maths

The calculations were lengthy in the morning shift, however the paper was of medium level. 35 percent questions were asked from Calculus, 9 percent from Coordinates, 6 percent from Statistics and Relation and 3D Vector.

The paper in the evening shift was also more difficult and lengthy than the morning shift. Students took time to solve the paper. 35 percent questions were covered from Calculus, 32 percent from Algebra, 10 percent from Coordinates, 9 percent from Statistics Relation, 9 percent from Vector 3D and 5 percent from Trigonometry
