JEE Main 2025 Session 1 (23 Jan) Paper Analysis by ALLEN

Physics, Chemistry, and Maths Paper Were Average

The second day of the first session of the country’s largest engineering entrance exam JEE Main-January 2025 for admission to BE-BTech courses was held on Thursday in computer based mode. Dr. Brajesh Maheshwari, Director of Allen Career Institute Private Limited, said that the paper has been analyzed on the basis of students’ feedback.

According to the information received from the students, the level of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics papers on the second day was average. There is a possibility of getting bonus marks in one question in section two of Physics.

Chemistry

The level of the chemistry paper in the morning shift was moderate. Six questions were asked from inorganic chemistry, eight from organic chemistry and nine from physical chemistry. Two questions were asked from a mix of inorganic, organic chemistry and physical chemistry.

The paper in the evening shift was longer than the morning shift because most of the questions were asked from physical chemistry. In the evening shift, 35 percent questions were covered from inorganic chemistry, 20 percent from organic chemistry and 45 percent from physical chemistry.

Physics

The paper of the morning shift was average. However, students took more time than usual to solve the paper. Three questions each were asked from Unit and Dimensions, Geometry Optics, Modern Physics. Two questions each were asked from Elasticity, Heat and Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Electro Magnetic Induction, while one question each was asked from Kinematics, Work Power and Energy, Centre of Mass, Simple Harmonic Motion, Electrostatics, Gravitation, Capacitance, Electromagnetic Waves and Semiconductor.

The Physics paper in the evening shift was easier than the morning one. The percentage of questions remained the same as in the morning.

Maths

The morning shift paper was easier than Wednesday’s. However, students took time to solve the paper. 35 percent questions were covered from Calculus, 32 percent from Algebra, 8 percent from Coordinates, 8 percent from Statistics and Relation, 12 percent from 3D Vectors and 5 percent from Trigonometry.

The evening shift paper was moderate and lengthy. In which 32 percent questions were asked from Calculus, 31 percent from Algebra, 12 percent from Coordinates, 9 percent from Statistics and Relation, 12 percent from 3D Vectors and 4 percent from Trigonometry.
