Know how NTA Score will be Calculated in 7 Decimal Percentile

Career Counseling expert of ALLEN Career Institute said that along with the total NTA score of the students, separate NTA scores of Physics, Chemistry and Maths will be released in 7 decimal percentile in the JEE Main 2025 First Session result.

JEE Main exam is conducted in different shifts, so the difficulty level of the paper of each shift can also be different. In such a situation, the raw scores of the students in each shift are normalized and released as percentile NTA score in 7 decimals.

These raw scores are the marks obtained by the students which are not declared in the result. The percentile of each student in 7 decimals is calculated only on the basis of the students sitting in his shift.

First of all, the raw score of each student is calculated, after which the number of students with raw scores equal to and less than that student is taken, it is then multiplied by 100 and divided by the total number of students appearing in the exam, after which the percentile in 7 decimals is calculated which is called the NTA score of that student.

This percentile formula will be applicable to the total average marks of the students as well as the marks obtained in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. With this formula, each student’s total NTA score along with the NTA score of each subject will be calculated and similarly the NTA score of April session will also be calculated.

If a student gives both the JEE Main exams in January and April, then his All India Rank will be given on the basis of the maximum NTA score of both the exams.
