Exam Dates of JEE Main has been Changed so that Certain Aspirants can Take Both JEE Main and CBSE 12 Board Examinations
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has given a huge sigh of relief to those JEE Main 2025 Session 2 aspirants whose JEE Main 2025 April session examination dates were clashing with the class 12 board examination.
NTA issued a notification on 28 March night in which it announced about revising the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 examination dates for certain students facing clash with class 12 board examination dates.
NTA Revises Exam Dates for Students Facing Clash with Class 12 Board Exams
NTA in its notification asserted that it has received representation from a few candidates mentioning that their class 12 board examination are coinciding with the JEE Main examination date slot allotted to them.
“Such representation have been considered in order to facilitate the candidates, so that they can write their board examinations and JEE Main examination as well and it has been decided to allot another exam date slot to the candidates”, he said.
The revised date of the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam for such candidates are hosted in the NTA website and can be downloaded using the login credentials in the website jeemain.nta.nic.in with immediate effect.
Students Facing Clash with Board Exam can Still Request Exam Rescheduling
NTA in its notification also informed that “If any candidate whose JEE Main exam session 2 date is coinciding with the class 12 board exam has been left out, they can request to inform NTA through their registered email ID at jeemain@nta.nic.in along with the copy of the admit card issued by the representative examination board for class 12 examination and JEE Main 2025 session 2 exam city intimation slip by March 29 (5:00 pm).

Exam Schedule
The NTA is conducting the JEE Main 2025 April session examination at different centres located in various cities throughout the country and 15 cities outside India.
The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 (April Session) Exam for Paper 1 (B.E.-B.Tech. paper) will be held on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8, whereas JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Paper 2 (B.Arch./B.Planning) will be held on April 9. The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Paper 1 Exam will be held in 2 shifts on every exam day, except the 8 April examination which will be held only in second shift.
The shift 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 pm, the shift 2 timing is 3 pm to 6 pm. The Paper 2 (B.Arch./B.Planning) will take place only in 1 shift. While the Paper 2 A (B.Arch), Paper 2 B (B.Planning) will be held in 1st shift from 9 am to 12 noon on 9 April, the Paper 2A & 2B (B.Arch. & B. Planning both) will be conducted in 1st shift from 9 am to 12.30 pm.
