The JEE Main Examination 2025 Session 2 Exam will commence on 2 April

JEE Main Examination is a challenging engineering entrance exam for admission in the prestigious engineering colleges of the country including NIT, IIIT, Government funded technical institutions (GFTIs). Due to the extensive syllabus and pressure of performance, the aspirant preparing for JEE Main Examination may feel anxiousness just before the examination.

Since excessive anxiety may adversely impact the performance of the aspirant so it is important to manage the examination anxiety before the examination so that the aspirant can focus on the preparation with a positive mind-set. Here are some vital tips for ensuring calmness and composure during the crucial examination time.

Understand the Source of Your Anxiety

Aspirants must find out the underlying causes of their examination related anxiety for its resolution Exam nervousness is an indication that the aspirant is sincere about his goals so there is nothing wrong in feeling anxious before the examination.

Create a Realistic Study Plan

Aspirants can focus on their preparation for overcoming anxiety. Aspirants can create a realistic study schedule by breaking the syllabus into manageable portions. Instead of trying to learn everything in one go, aspirants should try to master one subject at a time. For building self-confidence, aspirants can do regular revisions and practice sessions.

 

Practice Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques

Peers can play important role in managing examination anxiety so aspirants in times of anxiety should talk to teachers, mentors, family members and friends. Aspirants can alleviate emotional strain by expressing their concerns.

Also aspirants can study in groups to feel better and also understand that there are several others who are facing challenges of cracking the examination.

Limit Negative Influences

Every aspirant has its own journey of preparation and unnecessary comparisons with other aspirants may lead to addition of anxiety so avoid comparisons with others.

Also avoid negative discussions and stay positive in the preparation. Firstly aspirants should stay away from distraction like social media and even if they are using it then should limit it time.

Visualize Success

Rehearing your mind with positive imaginations can significantly boost self-confidence and decrease examination stress. Aspirant must do positive visualization as it is a powerful tool.

Take few minutes every day from your daily preparation time to visualize that you are successfully attempting questions in the question paper on the examination day and is going to score high marks in the JEE Main Examination.

Have a Plan for Exam Day

To reduce exam day anxiety, aspirant must arrange all examination related things in advance a day before the examination since preparation for the exam day itself can help alleviate anxiety.

Aspirants much check their admit card, ID proof, and other necessary items a day before examination to avoid any kind of last minute hassle. Try to reach the examination centre early so that any last-minute stress can be avoided.

It is a gradual process to overcome examination anxiety so the aspirants must make a plan to deal with it. Aspirant can achieve maximum performance on the examination by reducing the examination stress through a careful planning and a positive approach.

Always keep it in your mind that entrance examination is just a stepping stone and any examination cannot decide your future success. Believe in yourself, stay consistent, and success will follow.
