Five Days Left for Conclusion of Registration Process for JEE Main 2026
The application process for the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main 2026), one of the premier engineering education exams in the country, has reached its final stage. Over a million aspirants have already joined the online application process, which began on October 31st. By 2 pm on Saturday, a total of 10.60 lakh candidates had submitted their applications.
The National Testing Agency has clarified that there will be no extension to the application deadline this year. Therefore, students who have not yet registered have only five days left.
Since the start of the JEE Main 2026 application process, there has been considerable enthusiasm among candidates. As of Saturday afternoon, around 10.60 lakh students had registered. This number is still far behind last year’s record.
Experts believe that, like previous years, the number of applications may increase rapidly in the final days, but due to the limited time, candidates should complete the process as soon as possible.
Last year, a large number of students complained of difficulties during the final days of the application process. The National Testing Agency has already clarified this time that the deadline will not be extended. Therefore, it is even more important that students complete their registration on time.
In 2025, 15.39 lakh candidates applied for JEE Main, which is considered the highest ever. The number of students appearing for the exam also reached close to 14.75 lakh, the highest in the history of this exam. While 10.60 lakh applications have been received so far this year.
