JEE Main 2026: Record Number of Candidates Expected

This year, the number of candidates for JEE Main 2026 is expected to reach a record level. It is estimated that approximately 16 lakh students will appear for the exam across both sessions. This is considered the largest participation in the history of JEE Main.

Why Taking the April Session is Important

Looking at the trends of previous years, most students appear in Session 2 along with Session 1. The biggest reason for this is that the JEE Main All India Rank (AIR) is released based on the highest NTA Score obtained in both sessions. Therefore, the April session gives students another chance to improve their scores.
