Know Guidelines and other Details Related to JEE Main 2026 January Session Exam

The first session of the JEE Main 2026 exam is scheduled to be held between January 21 and 30. This exam, conducted annually for admission to engineering colleges across the country, shapes the future of millions of aspirants every year.

City Intimation Slip in the First Week of January

According to the NTA, the city intimation slip for candidates will be released in the first week of January. This slip will inform students about the city where they will have to take the exam. Approximately 1.4 million students across the country will wait for this information.

Admit Card Likely to be released by January 17

After the city intimation slip, the admit card, which is essential for entry into the examination center, will be issued three to four days before the exam date. It is expected that candidates will be able to download their admit cards by January 17.

After the completion of the exam, the NTA will undertake the following procedures:
Releasing the candidates’ attempted question papers

Applications from the Last Week of January

The application process for the second session, i.e., Session 2 (April 2026), will begin in the last week of January. Information regarding application fees and revision dates will also be made available on the website from time to time.

City-related information for Session 2 is likely to be released in the second week of March.
Admit Card Three-Four Days Before the Exam
As with the first session, the admit cards for the April session will also be released three to four days before the exam.

Exam Dates: April 2 to 9, 2026

The Session 2 exam will be conducted from April 2 to April 9. Following this:

Question papers will be displayed

Answer keys will be released

The process for raising objections will take place

Finally, the results will be declared on April 20, 2026.
