The Paper in the Morning Shift was of Moderate Level
The first session of the country’s largest engineering entrance exam, JEE Main (January 2026), is underway for admission to B.E. and B.Tech. courses.
The JEE Main exam for B.Arch. will be held on Thursday, 29 January. Vinod Kumawat, President of ALLEN Career Institute Private Limited, Kota, said the paper was overall moderate in the morning session.

JEE Main Chemistry Paper Analysis
The Chemistry paper in the morning session was moderate but lengthy. Most of the questions were statement-type.
Physical Chemistry included two questions each from Atomic Structure and Ionic Equilibrium, Aromatic Compounds and Hydrocarbons in Organic Chemistry, and Coordination Compounds in Inorganic Chemistry.

JEE Main Physics Paper Analysis
The Physics paper in the morning session was easy, with most questions based on formulae. Forty percent of the questions were from the 11th-grade syllabus, and 60 percent from the 12th-grade syllabus.
Questions primarily came from the Mechanics, Electrodynamics, and Heat and Thermodynamics sections.

JEE Main Maths Paper Analysis
The math paper in the morning session was moderate and lengthy. Except for a few difficult questions, students solved most of the questions easily.
Algebra comprised 36 percent of the paper, followed by Calculus 32 percent, Coordinate Geometry 16 percent, Vector 3D 12 percent, and Trigonometry 4 percent.
