Ever since the rise in Covid-19 cases across the country, there had been speculations going around as to whether the exams for JEE and NEET 2020 will be conducted or not.
Earlier, considering the concerns of the parents and students alike, NTA had postponed the scheduled exams to September. However, a plea was filed in the Supreme Court to further postpone the exams from September and schedule them once things get back to normal.
This plea had put students across the country, preparing for the JEE and NEET exams in a state of quandary.
But with the latest decision by the Supreme Court, all the uncertainties looping around the exams have now been cleared.

On Monday, August 17, the Supreme Court made it clear that there will be no further changes in the JEE and NEET 2020 exams. Both the exams will be conducted as per the schedule. Stating the decision, the Supreme Court clarified that postponing exams will only jeopardize the career of students. Hence, SC dismissed the plea that sought postponement of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), which are to be held in September 2020.
The decision came after the assurance given by the National Testing Agency that it will take all the essential court precautions while conducting the exams.
NTA has stated that it will abide by the Covid-19 pandemic safety guidelines to make sure the health and safety of students is not compromised while they appear for the exams.
As per the updates, the NEET-UG exam will be held on September 13 whereas the JEE Main will begin on September 1 and end on 6, 2020.
NTA is likely to release the admit card for the NEET-UG and JEE Main exams through its official website.
