JEE Main ‘24 Session 1 – Important Guidelines, Allowed & Prohibited Items for Exam Day

JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Examination Will Be held on 24, 27, 29, 30, and 31 January & 1 February

As the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 examination days are approaching near, aspirants are anxious about the important information regarding the examination days and examination center. What are the important guidelines for the aspirants, things they should carry to the examination centre and what not? Here are some vital information and instructions for the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 aspirants.

JEE Main is stage 1 of the engineering entrance examination through which admission is granted to the renowned engineering institutions of the country.

JEE Main will be held twice in 2 sessions this year. While the Session 1 of JEE Main 2024 will be held from 24 January to 1 February, the Session 2 of the JEE Main 2024 will be organized from 1 April to 15 April.

Important guidelines For The JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Exam Day

  1. Aspirants should take sound sleep in the last night before JEE Main Examination so that they should reach examination centre afresh.
  2. Aspirants should take balanced and sufficient breakfast before leaving for the examination centre.
  3. To familiarize themselves with the route and location of the examination centre, aspirants should visit the examination centre a day prior.
  4. In order to avoid any hustle bustle on the examination day for reaching examination centre, aspirants should reach half an hour before the stipulated time to reach the examination centre which is given in the admit cards so that.
  5. Aspirants should properly sign on the attendance sheet and answer key as asked by the examination invigilators.
  6. Candidates will have to write their name and roll no on the rough work sheet and leave it at the examination centre otherwise their response sheet will not be checked.

Things to Carry at The Examination Centre

  1. First and foremost, aspirants of JEE Main 2024 Session 1 must carry admit card with themselves to the examination centre.
  2. Candidate must carry any of the valid Photo ID Proof including Adhar Card, School ID, Pen Card, Passport, Driving license, ration card, admit card of class 12, or bank passbook. Photo ID should be original and not photo copy.
  3. Aspirant should carry impression of their left-hand thumb to the examination centre.
  4. Aspirants should download a self-declaration form of JEE Main 2024 Session 1 from the website of the NTA and duly sign it while carrying it to the examination centre.
  5. Candidate should carry a photograph with them for pasting on the examination attendance sheet.
  6. Aspirants should carry a transparent ballpoint pen with them while leaving for the examination centre on the examination day.
  7. Candidate should carry a drinking water filled transparent water bottle to the examination day for their personal consumption.
  8. However, Aspirants suffering from diabetes will be allowed to carry fruits like Orange, apple and banana at the examination centre as a special arrangement.

Prohibited Items at Exam Centre

  1. Aspirants are required to carry their admit card of the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Examination.
  2. No gadgets including mobile phones, electronic gadgets, calculators, microphone, wrist watch, Cameras or any metallic items will allowed to be carried at the examination centre. NTA will not have any responsibility of the prohibited valuables brought at the examination centre by the aspirants as there will be no provisions for their safekeeping.
  3. Aspirants need not carry any stationary items like pencil, paper, geometry box, etc at the examination centre.
  4. Aspirants will not be able to carry any kind of eatables.
  5. Candidates should not wear thick sole shoes and big button apparels.
