After JoSAA 2023 (joint seat counselling) of 116 colleges of IIT, NIT, IIIT and GFTI is over, the date for confirmation of the allotted seat in NIT, IIIT and GFTI by depositing partial admission fee (PAF) has been extended. The last date for PAF payment has been extended till 1 August at 11:50 pm which earlier was till 5 pm, 31 July.
Otherwise their allotted NIT seat will be cancelled. That 40 thousand rupees have been kept for general and OBC and EWS and 20 thousand rupees for SC-ST. The seat acceptance fee deposited by the students during counselling will be adjusted in the remaining college fees during their admission.
A notification in this regards says “All candidates having a provisionally allocated seat in the NIT+ system (allocated in any round of JoSAA-2023 and not been cancelled or withdrawn) and having paid Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) are also required to pay the Partial Admission Fee (PAF) online from their JoSAA portal during 29 July – 31 July 2023 (5:00pm) 01 Aug 2023 (11:59 pm). Non-payment of the PAF within the stipulated time will lead to cancellation of the allocated seat”.
Many students are still confused who have confirmed their allotted NIT-IIIT seat by depositing partial admission fees and want to participate in CSAB counselling for the vacant seats of NIT-IIIT. Also. These students have a lot of confusion about physically reporting for final admission in their allotted NIT/IIIT.
Only those students, who are satisfied with their allotted NIT/IIIT seat, will have to complete the admission formalities for final admission by physically reporting on the given dates and depositing the remaining college fees on the website of NIT/ IIIT, but if the students want to participate in CSAB counselling are not required to report physically at any of the allotted colleges. They will have to report physically between 14th to 21st August at the final allotted NIT/IIIT after two rounds of CSAB counselling.
