The second mock seat allocation of Joint Seat Counseling has been released. In the mock seat allocation released, a total of 2 Crore 51 lakh 89 thousand 284 choices of 2 lakh 02 thousand 322 students have been allotted.
The last date for choice filling for counseling being done by JoSAA for admission in IIT-NIT and other top engineering colleges is Thursday, June 12, till 5 pm. This year this counseling is being done in 6 rounds for more than 60 thousand seats in 127 colleges of the country including IIT-NIT.
Career counseling expert of Allen Career Institute said that if the student is unable to lock his filled college choice in the given time, then his last saved choice automatically gets autolocked.
After the second mock seat allocation, students must check their filled college choices for the last time to ensure that there is no choice above the college branch allotted to them in the second mock seat allocation which is lower in priority than the allotted branch and there is no choice of any college branch below the allotted branch which should have been filled higher in priority than the allotted branch. Because once locked, no change is possible in the filled branch.
This year also the first round of seat allocation for admission in IIT-NIT will be announced on 14 June at 10 am. After the first round of seat allocation, students will have to do online reporting between 14 and 18 June.
