So far 1 lakh 72 Thousand 782 Students have Filled 1 Crore 93 Lakh 71842 Choices
The counseling process for admission to IIT-NIT and other top engineering colleges has started by JoSAA. The last date for choice filling for this counseling, being conducted for more than 60 thousand seats of 127 colleges, is 12 June till 5 pm. Students can fill the choices of 927 branches of 127 colleges.
Career counseling expert of Allen Career Institute has informed that if the students are unable to lock their filled college choice in the given time, then their last saved choice automatically gets autolocked.
Mock seat allocation has been released before the joint seat counseling. In the mock seat allocation released, 1 lakh 72 thousand 782 students have been allotted 1 crore 93 lakh 71842 choices.
What Should Students Do Now?
After the first mock seat allocation, students must check their filled college choices once to see if there is any choice above the college branch allotted to them in the first mock seat allocation which is lower in priority than the allotted branch and if there is any choice of college branch below the allotted branch which should have been filled higher in priority than the allotted branch.
Because once locked, no change is possible in the filled branch. This JOSAA Counseling will be completed in six rounds.
There is every possibility of thousands of students filling new choices in the second mock seat allocation, in such a situation, the second mock seat allocation will be considered more reliable for getting a college branch as per their rank. The second mock seat allocation will be released on June 11.
