Third Round Reporting Till July 9
JoSAA counseling is underway for 62 thousand 853 seats in 127 institutes including IITs and NITs of the country. After the fourth round of seat allocation, students can do online reporting till 5 pm on July 9.
Students whose documents uploaded during online reporting are found to be deficient will have to respond to the query by 5 pm on July 10 otherwise their seat will be cancelled.
According to career counselling expert of ALLEN Career Institute, in the fourth round of JEE counselling, a student with rank 13 lakh 14 thousand 967 from gender neutral pool quota has been allotted mechanical branch from home state quota in NIT Mizoram in open category.
Along with this, the closing rank of IIT from gender neutral pool quota was 16 thousand 705 which is of intra-disciplinary science five year branch of IIT Dharwad. On the other hand, a student with rank 10 lakh 2 thousand 85 including super numerical seats from female pool quota has got Computer Science branch from home state quota in NIT Mizoram in open category.
Also, the closing rank of IIT from female pool quota was 25 thousand 549 which is of Intra-disciplinary Science five-year branch of IIT Dharwad.
According to expert, the documents uploaded in the third round of seat allocation of those students who have been allotted IIT to NIT and NIT to IIT seat in the fourth round are being verified again from the newly allotted system. Only after that their newly allotted seat will be confirmed.
On the contrary, the students who have already been allotted seats and have opted for float and slide have been allotted IIT to IIT and NIT to NIT seat in the fourth round and their new seat has been confirmed on the basis of their previously verified documents. All these students do not need to upload documents again in online reporting.
Students can participate in further counseling by changing the float option to slide and freeze and the slide option to freeze in each round of counseling.
