Second Mock Seat Allocation Released, 1,81,370 Students Participated
The counseling process for admission to IITs, NITs, and other top engineering colleges through JoSAA 2024 has commenced.
The final day for choice filling for the counseling of 59,917 seats across 121 colleges is June 18, until 5 PM. Students can fill their choices for 865 branches across these 121 colleges.
ALLEN Career Institute experts, mentioned that if students fail to lock their filled college choices within the given time, their last saved choices will be auto-locked.
The second mock seat allocation for joint seat counseling has been released. In this mock seat allocation, a total of 1,81,370 students participated with 2,20,44,300 choices being considered for allocation.

After the second mock seat allocation, students must check their filled college choices one last time to ensure that the allocated college branch in the second mock allocation does not have any higher priority choices above it and that there are no choices below it that should have been given higher priority.
Once locked, no changes can be made to the filled choices. The JoSAA counseling 2024 will be conducted in six rounds.

The first round of seat allocation for admission to IITs and NITs will be announced on June 20 at 10 AM. After the first round of seat allocation, students must complete online reporting between June 20 and June 24.
During online reporting, students need to pay the seat acceptance fee and upload all necessary documents. JoSAA 2024 will verify the documents and confirm the allocated seats. For category documents, OBC and EWS certificates must be dated after April 1, 2024.
