The Final Admission Process for IIT and NIT is Different

The students who have been allotted IIT after JoSAA Counselling will now have to get complete information about the remaining college fees and documents required for admission on the website of the allotted IIT.

The reporting dates for admission in IIT are being released on the website of each IIT. Students are advised to read the information given on the website of the allotted IIT thoroughly, because each IIT has given different dates for reporting, orientation and starting of classes. Students can complete their registration process by going to the admission link in the information given on the IIT website.

Apart from this, the students allotted NIT-IIT will have to first deposit the partial admission fee between 24th and 26th July, which is Rs. 45 thousand for General, OBC and EWS and Rs. 20 thousand for SC-ST. Only by paying this partial admission fee, students can take admission in the colleges of NIT system allotted in JoSAA Counselling.

Students who are satisfied with their colleges allotted by NIT system will have to complete the admission formalities for final admission in NIT-IIT. The seat acceptance fee deposited by the students during Counselling will be adjusted in the fees of the remaining college during their admission.

Take Special Care Before NI–NIT Seat Withdrawal

After the fifth round of seat allocation of JoSAA, those students who are not satisfied with their allotted NIT-III college and want to leave the seat and withdraw the seat acceptance fee, such students can get the fee withdrawn till 5 pm on 22nd July.

Only those students should withdraw their NIT III seat who are not completely satisfied with their college because once they withdraw their seat, if these students participate in CSAB Counselling and do not get any seat in CSAB Counselling, their year will be ruined.

Students will have to withdraw by giving the reason for withdrawal on the option given on the JoSAA website. The remaining fee will be returned by JoSAA after deducting 5 thousand rupees. Students have the last chance to withdraw their seat, after this no seat and fee will be withdrawn.

Apart from this, students who are not satisfied with the seat allotted to them by the NIT system and want to participate in the CSAB Counselling being conducted for the vacant seats, can also participate in the CSAB counseling by depositing their partial admission fee and securing their allotted seat.
