Opportunity to Withdraw IIT Seat Till 5 PM on 15th July
Round 4 Seat allotment of JoSAA Counselling 2024 has been released. Those who have been allotted college seats for the first time, after the fourth round of JoSAA counseling for 59917 seats in 121 institutes including IITs and NITs of the country, they will have to upload the required documents and deposit the seat acceptance fee by 15th July and do online reporting.

In the fourth round of seat allocation of JoSAA counselling, a student with rank 13 lakh 68 thousand 129 from gender neutral pool quota has been allotted civil branch from home state quota in NIT Sikkim in open category, along with this, the closing rank of IIT from gender neutral pool quota was 16 thousand 53 which is of five year Intradisciplinary Science course of IIT Dharwad.
On the other hand, a girl with rank 10 lakh 94 thousand 961 including super numerical seats from female pool quota has got civil branch from home state quota in NIT Sikkim in open category.
The closing rank of IIT from female pool quota was 24 thousand 443, which is of five year Intradisciplinary Science course of IIT Dharwad.

Opportunity to withdraw IIT seat till 5 pm on 15 July
Those students who are not satisfied with their allotted IIT after the fifth round of seat allocation and want to withdraw the fee by leaving the seat, can leave their allotted IIT seat by giving reasons through the withdrawal option given on the JoSAA website till the time given for reporting of the fourth round on 5 pm on 15 July.
This will be the last opportunity for IIT seat withdrawal. JoSAA will return the remaining amount after deducting Rs 5000 processing counseling fee.
The fifth round of JoSAA counseling for IIT is the final round, so those students who are willing to appear for JEE-Advanced-2025 next year as well and are not satisfied with their allotted IIT seat, are required to withdraw their allotted IIT seat by 5 pm on July 15, otherwise they will not be able to appear for JEE-Advanced exam next year (2025), while for NIT, special round counseling will be conducted by CSAB in two rounds for the seats that remain vacant even after the fifth round of JoSAA counseling.
