If NEET Exam was tough, it was for everyone – Collector
Under the Kota Cares campaign of the district administration, District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami interacted with students at ALLEN Samunnat Campus in Jawahar Nagar on 5 May, Monday.
He explained to the students about the most difficult question paper ever in the NEET exam and the preparation for the future. After the session, some students and parents also met Dr. Goswami and told him about the tough paper in the NEET 2025 exam.
On this, Dr. Goswami explained to them and said that if the paper was tough then the cut-off would also be down. This is the specialty of competitive exams.
Earlier in the class, he explained to the students about over thinking, self-doubt and anxiety.
He said that the NEET paper was tough but it was not tough for just one student, it was tough for everyone, so whatever happens will happen to everyone. Earlier, many students got full marks but this year it may not happen. The cut-off will be down.
Now, talking about preparing for such an exam, we should find our weakness and then accept it. Your sub conscious mind is Krishna and the conscious mind is Arjun.
Arjun tells the truth that I cannot fight, I run away from the war, Krishna tells him to stand firm to win. At such a time, one should not be afraid of the paper, one has to be stronger to solve it. Remove your weaknesses by working honestly towards your goal.
He said that self-doubt is a mechanism of the mind which keeps us aware. The mind cross checks the thing which we give importance to again and again.
This is good but it should not be too much. When we generalize things, we do not overthink. Overthinking is everyone’s problem. To come out of this, I first accept that I am overthinking.
Then I write down the topic on which I am thinking the most. Then I send a message to myself and delete it. When I write on paper, I tear it. By doing this, that topic ends.
Dr. Ravindra Goswami said that mobile is our enemy. When we study, we remember whether we have missed any reel or not. When we are watching the reel, we regret that it would have been better if we had studied.
To avoid this guilt, we should set a time for both. When we study, we should focus only on studies and when we will watch the reel, we will watch it with full attention.
He said that you should concentrate on your studies, if you are focused on your studies then you will not get tired, you will enjoy it.
If you are doing the work that you want to do then it is not a job but life, the body may get tired but not the mind, and you will always feel yourself full of new energy.
