Another initiative has taken in Kota regarding caring and safety of the coaching students. For quick help with a safe environment, the Kota City Police have launched K-SOS (Kota- Safety of Students) app to help Kota students. K-SOS is panic button mobile application.
District Superintendent of Police, Kota City, Dr. Amrita Duhan said that a direct dialogue was earlier held on 13 July 2024 to resolve and find a reasonable solution to the problems of coaching students who come from different states of the country and stay in Kota city to prepare for entrance examinations.
Around 600 to 700 students living in the police station Kunhadi area had attended that interaction where one-to-one dialogue was held with everyone. It was also decided to launch an application K-SOS, especially for girl students.
Now Kota City Police have launched K-SOS (Kota Safety of Student) application in the presence of about 2500 coaching students, Additional Superintendent of Police, Kota, Niyati Sharma, Abhaya Police Team and women police personnel in the Samyak Building of Allen Career Institute located in Landmark City.
This simple and convenient application has been prepared by Khushvardhan Bhardwaj and Jaivardhan Bhardwaj for the safety of coaching students. The coaching students present in the auditorium were given information about downloading and using the application.
In this K-SOS Application, by pressing the panic button just once, the information about the student’s location and mobile number will be received at the police control room. Thereafter, the problem will be resolved quickly by sharing the location and information of the victim with the nearest police team near the incident spot.
All coaching students were advised to use the application correctly and were made aware to download and propagate it to all their classmates and use it whenever required. For the safety of coaching students, all their information is completely safe. After pressing the stop button in the application, the student’s details will automatically be removed from the application.
