IIT Kanpur Released the Report of JEE-Advanced 2025

IIT-Kanpur, the organizing institute of JEE-Advanced-2025, has released a detailed report of 1281 pages regarding the examination and result. In the report, once again the result of Delhi zone has been the best among all the zones in the country due to Kota.

Career counseling expert of ALLEN Career Institute said that according to the report released by IIT Kanpur, seven zones were created in the country for the examination. A total of 1 lakh 87 thousand 223 students got registered for JEE-Advanced examination this year in a total of 7 zones, in which maximum 45622 students were registered from Hyderabad zone, second highest number was from Bombay zone with 37002 students and third highest number was from Delhi zone with 34069 students.

Delhi Stood First in Producing Best Results

Talking about the top 3 zones, compared to the registered students, 12946 (28.37 percent) students from Hyderabad zone, 11226 (30.33 percent) from Bombay zone and 11370 (highest 33.37 percent) students from Delhi zone qualified JEE-Advanced exam.

If we look at the figures of students taking admission in IIT parallel to these JEE-Advanced qualifying students, 4363 (33.70 percent) are from Hyderabad, 3825 (34.07 percent) from Bombay zone and 4182 (highest 36.78 percent) from Delhi zone.

Thus, the highest percentage of students taking the exam, qualifying and getting admission in IIT is from IIT Delhi zone. Rajasthan is the largest state in IIT Delhi zone. Apart from this, Delhi zone include Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. In such a situation, Rajasthan is the only state from which the maximum numbers of students have been selected in IIT.

Among the students selected from Rajasthan, the maximum number of students have got admission in IIT from career city Kota.

Zone Wise Data Analysis

Examination centres were set up in 222 cities in the country for JEE-Advanced 2025 examination. All these exam cities were divided into 7 zones, in which Bombay zone had 55 cities of Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi zone had 20 cities of Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Rajasthan, Guwahati zone had 22 cities of Assam, Arunachal, Bihar, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and West Bengal, Kanpur zone had 12 cities of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Kharagpur zone had 26 cities of Andaman, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Hyderabad zone had the highest number of 58 cities of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Roorkee zone had 29 exam cities of Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Himachal, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh.

In such a situation, the exam city from which the student takes the exam is included in the results of the same zone. Thus, the maximum number of exam cities are from Hyderabad zone and this year maximum 45022 students have appeared in the exam from Hyderabad zone, whereas only 34059 students have appeared in the exam in 20 exam cities from Rajasthan zone. Out of these 4182 students have got admission in IIT.

How Many IITians from which zone

Out of the total 18188 students selected in IIT this year, 4812 are from IIT Delhi zone, 4363 from IIT Hyderabad, 3825 from Bombay zone, 1729 from Roorkee, 1622 from Kanpur, 1655 from Kharagpur, and 812 students from Guwahati have been selected in IIT.

Every Fourth Student in IIT is from Kota

Delhi Zone is achieving excellence due to Kota. Students from all over the country come to Kota to prepare for JEE.
