The Last Chance for Correction in the JEE-Main 2024 Application is Today March 7, 2024 (up to 11:50 P.M.)

JEE Main 2024, the country’s largest engineering entrance exam, has seen a record number of unique candidates this year, exceeding 15 lakh. The number of students appearing for JEE Main this year is the highest in the past 8 years. Students can rectify errors in their applications until March 7th.

Challenges Faced During Correction in JEE Main Application

Students are encountering numerous difficulties during the correction process in the JEE Main application. The correction option was opened much later than the given time, causing distress among students. Initially, the option to change categories was not provided. Additionally, discrepancies are being reported regarding the payment of examination fees, despite students having already paid for both sessions.

Correction Options for Different Categories of Students

  • Students Who Applied for Both Sessions: They can only correct errors related to the course, category, examination center, examination medium, qualifying details, and state of eligibility.
  • Students Who Applied for Only the Second Session: They can correct errors in personal details, parent’s names, category, examination center, examination medium, and qualifying details. However, they cannot change their current and permanent addresses, photos, or selected examination state.

Confirmation Page Verification After Correction

After making corrections, students can generate a confirmation page to verify the changes made during the correction process.

Additional Option for B.Arch. Applicants During Correction

B.Arch applicants can pay additional fees during correction and apply for B.Planning as well, if they had previously applied only for B.Arch.

Final Deadline for Correction

This is the final opportunity for correction. After this, no further corrections will be allowed. Therefore, students should thoroughly review their JEE Main applications.

Conclusion and Suggestions

To alleviate student concerns, the time given for correction should be extended. This will enable students to make necessary corrections comfortably.

Upcoming Events

The announcement of exam cities will be made in the third week of March, as per the previously declared dates. Additionally, admit cards can be downloaded three days before the examination date.

With proper time and resources, students can ensure that their JEE Main applications are error-free and accurate.
