Last 7 days of JEE Advanced Preparation: A Balanced Approach
This is the last week before the JEE Advanced 2025 Examination so here are some tips for effective preparation strategy.
The JEE Advanced 2025 Examination is scheduled to take place on 18 May, Sunday. Over 1.90 lakh students have registered themselves for the JEE Advanced 2025 Examination.
Instead of starting new topics during these days, revise what you have studied.
Especially in mathematics, focus on integral calculus, vector, 3D, matrix and coordinate geometry. These topics can get good marks.
Every student has a different strategy to solve the paper. Some start with mathematics and some with chemistry.
You can decide in advance or be flexible according to the situation at the time of exam. Instead of wasting time on difficult questions, learn to leave them. This is wise.
Revision can be done in two ways—one is chapter-wise and the other is based on mock tests. Adopt whatever is more effective for you.
Mock tests are not just for knowing the marks, but they are a part of practice so that you can get used to the exam environment.
Give two to three mock tests every day. There is no need to focus on the result—they are to maintain your mental balance and discipline.
The most important thing in these last 7 days is to keep a complete distance from social media. Limit screen time and focus only on studies.
At this time, your goal should be only practice, revision and giving mock tests.
It often happens that as the exam approaches, restlessness, nervousness and anxiety increase in the mind.
It seems that a lot has been missed. But this happens to everyone. Do not let this nervousness dominate you.
Keep your mind active especially during the exam time, like in the morning and afternoon slots.
Plan the breaks you get during the exam in advance. Decide what you will do at that time—light food, a little rest or a light walk.
This will keep the mind fresh and you will be able to perform better in the next innings.
Only those who choose questions wisely are successful in JEE Advanced.
In this exam, it is not necessary to solve many questions, but the selection of right questions and time management is important.
Do not eat outside food at all these days. Eat only light and nutritious home-made food.
Keep your eating habits stable so that there is no health issue on the day of examination. Increase the amount of water and keep yourself safe from heat.
If the examination center is far away or in another city, then reach there a day before.
Choose a comfortable and safe means of travel. Do not take any kind of risk on the day of examination.
Do not eat heavy food in the break between the exams. Light food and a little rest will refresh your mind. This will help you do the second paper well.
If the paper is difficult, do not panic. It is difficult for everyone. Gradually, one or the other question will start getting solved.
If you feel inertia in the beginning, do not panic. That too can be reduced with practice.
In the past years, there have been examples when students who gave the exam with a calm mind performed well despite technical glitches.
Keep your mind calm and give the exam with the thought that “I will give my best.
The most important thing in these last seven days is patience, discipline and a positive attitude.
You will get the fruits of your hard work only when you give it the right direction. Make your plan clear, write down the confusions of your mind on paper and solve them one by one.
Best wishes to all of you. These seven days are the time for the culmination of your hard work. Maintain confidence and ensure victory.
