Derajram of Sodiyar Village of Barmer Chohattan Achieved AIR-285 in NEET 2025

Derajram, a resident of Sodiyar village of Chohattan area in Barmer, Rajasthan, has succeeded in the medical entrance examination NEET 2025. Derajram has secured All India Rank 285 by securing 628 marks out of 720. Derajram’s father Ghevarram supports the family by working as porter in mandis (Agriculture Produce marketplace).

Despite limited resources and financial constraints, Derajram did not give up and kept trying continuously.

Derajram, a regular classroom student of ALLEN Career Institute, wants to become a doctor and serve the people of his village and region. Not only his family, but the entire village is feeling proud of this achievement. Derajram’s success is an inspiration for all those youth who do not stop working hard for their goal even in adverse circumstances.

Father Burnt by 11 KV Line

Derajram told that my father is not physically capable. He has once been electrocuted by an 11 KV line, due to which the soles of his feet have been damaged and the fingers are also bent and now he is not able to work for long. If he works for a month, then he has to take rest for about a month.

When the Teacher Threw the File, I Did Not Go to College Again

Derajram told that I wanted to become a doctor but the condition of the family was not such that I could get coaching. I had prepared for the NEET exam along with 12th class in the year 2021, in which I got 148 marks.

After this, I took admission in B.Sc but somewhere in my mind there was a pain of not being able to become a doctor. Therefore, I continued preparing for NEET along with B.Sc.

When the practicals of B.Sc. first year were going on, the diagram in a file was made wrong, so the teacher picked up the file in anger and threw it away. After this I came home and did not go to college again. I told my family that I want to become a doctor.

I took NEET 2022 and this time I got 380 marks, my confidence got strengthened. I decided that I will go to Kota and prepare somehow. Seeing Derajram’s performance and financial condition during NEET preparation, Allen gave concession in fees. During the year 2024-25, Allen gave up to 90 percent discount in fees.

Ran away From Home and came to Kota

Derajram told that on 19 July 2022, there was a lot of quarrel in the house. I wanted to come to Kota. I told Papa to borrow money from someone and get me coaching in Kota but he did not agree.

Then I said that you pay the fare to go. There will be some coaching there which will understand my problem. I came to Kota with 2 thousand rupees. Here in ALLEN Career Institute, when I showed BPL card, MNREGA job card and other documents, I got a discount in fees. After this I called my father and asked him to give me one year and arrange the money somehow.

Contractor Kagaram ji lives near our house. He agreed to help. He bore all the expenses of food and accommodation including fees for three years. I got 575 marks in NEET 2023 and AIR was 45099 but could not get a medical college. I did not lose courage and gave NEET 2024 once again. This time I got 650 marks and AIR 26351.

There was a continuous improvement in marks and rank due to which I was confident that success was not far away. Later Derajram took NEET UG 2025 Exam and secured All India Rank 285 by securing 628 marks out of 720. Now his dream of becoming a doctor will accomplish soon.

Lack of Education Should Not Become an Obstacle
