More Than 24 Lakh Candidates for 2.10 Lakh Seats in NEET-UG 2024
The NEET UG 2024 Examination is approaching so the aspirants are anxious about the Examination day. The country’s biggest medical entrance examination, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG 2024) will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday, May 05, between 2 pm to 5:20 pm.
The admit cards for the NEET UG 2024 examination have been issued. Through this examination, admission will be given to approximately 2 lakh 10 thousand seats in medical, dental, AYUSH, veterinary and selected nursing colleges across the country for various courses. An estimated 24 lakh students have registered for the NEET UG examination, which is the highest number in any previous examination.

Entry to the examination center will start from 11 am and will continue till 1.30 pm. All the candidates have been given different reporting time as mentioned on the NEET UG 2024 admit card. Entry to the examination center will not be allowed under any circumstances after 1.30 pm. Therefore, aspirants must reach the examination at the reporting time shown in the admit card.
Candidates, whose center is somewhere outside, are advised to verify the location of the examination venue at least a day in advance so that they reach on the scheduled time on the day of examination and do not face any kind of problem there. The examination will be completely in pen and paper mode.
This examination will be held for total 2.10 lakh seats including 109145 seats of 706 medical colleges of MBBS, 28088 seats of 323 colleges of BDS, AYUSH courses (BAMS, BHMS, BYMS, BUMS), 55851 seats of BVSC and selected seats of BSC Nursing college courses.

The candidates should carry original ID cards like Aadhar Card, valid identity proof approved by the government like, PAN Card / Driving License / Voter ID / 12th Class Board Admit Card or Registration Card / Passport / Original School Identity Card carrying the photograph of the candidate.
Aadhaar card has been given prominence by NTA as the original ID. Their photocopy will not be valid under any circumstances. Pens will also be given to the students at the examination centre itself. Personal transparent water bottle, and if there is any disability, then certificates related to it will have to be carried. Do not bring any kind of electronic device, mobile phone, Bluetooth device with you at all.\

According to the NEET UG-2024 admit card guidelines issued by NTA, first complete the admit card of the examination properly. The candidate has to paste the photo (as uploaded in the application form) on the admit card. Candidates should carry a postcard size photograph of themselves pasted on the prescribed performa attached with the admit card to the examination centre.
Apart from this, also bring another parallel passport size photograph which will be used for pasting on the attendance sheet. The candidate will have to bring the left thumb impression from home, although the candidate will have to put his own signature in front of the examiner present in the class. Candidates can take print out of admit cards in color or black and white.

Candidates can wear any light color dress. Students can wear trousers or pants, which do not have any metal buttons, and half shirt or T-shirt. Aspirants should not wear full sleeve shirts. Girl students can wear salwar kurta, leggings, pants or trousers, T-shirt and kurti. None of these should have metal buttons.
Candidates can wear normal slippers or normal shoes. Do not go wearing jewelry or metal items like amulets, bangles. If the candidate is going to wear any religious or traditional dress, then he will have to be present at the examination center by 11:30 and get his personal check-up done.
First of all, check the medium of question paper (English/Hindi/or regional language) which was given by the candidate in the option while filling the application form. Only after that start attempting the paper, mainly fill your roll number, paper code, question paper booklet number and personal details on the OMR sheet very carefully. While filling the oval, the ink of the pen should not overlap the other oval nor should the ink spread and make OMR look dirty. Do not do OMR cutting, overwriting or erasing.
As per the guidelines issued by NTA, both the main OMR sheet and the office copy of the OMR sheet will have to be submitted to the invigilator after the completion of the examination, which is enclosed with the main OMR sheet. After the completion of the exam, the admit card and the Performa with postcard size photo will also have to be given to the examiner. In case any problem arises, the aspirant should not have a conversation with the candidate present in the examination room, and immediately inform the examiner/invigilator present there.
