Second Round of Online Counselling for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing Underway

11345 Clear Vacancies and 6947 Virtual Vacancies, Choice Filling till September 10

The Second round of online counselling for NEET UG 2024 All India seats is underway. MCC released the MBBS and BDS seat matrix of All India quota on the official portal on 7 September.

Seat Matrix for Online Second Round Counselling

The seat matrix in the online second round Counselling has been released according to the clear vacancy seat and virtual vacancy.

In this, 6130 MBBS seats of government sector medical college and 518 BDS seats of dental college have been announced, which also includes 300 MBBS seats of AIIMS.

There are 2865 MBBS seats in medical colleges of deemed areas, which includes additional 548 MBBS seats of NRI quota and 643 BDS seats of dental colleges of deemed areas and additional 89 seats of NRI quota.

16 MBBS and 22 BDS seats under the internal quota clear vacancy seats of Delhi University, 5 MBBS and 28 BDS seats of Indraprastha University will also be filled through this Counselling.

5 MBBS and 53 BDS seats of Banaras Hindu University and 20 MBBS and 10 BDS seats of Aligarh Muslim University are available. 52 MBBS seats are available in JIPMER Pondicherry and Karaikal campus, which also includes 37 MBBS seats of All India quota and 15 local internal MBBS seats.

Similarly, 54 MBBS seats and 17 BDS seats of ESOC Medical College which are reserved for the children of ESOC card holders and 347 seats of BSc Nursing Honors will also be filled through this Counselling.

Two new government medical colleges located in Nashik Maharashtra and Padru Andhra Pradesh are also participating for the first time in this second round online Counselling.

Along with this, the matrix of 6947 seats of MBBS BDS and BSc Nursing Honors courses of virtual vacancy has also been released, in which the seats of the joined candidates of the first round, who have expressed their desire to upgrade in the second round, will also be visible to the candidates during choice filling.

Fill Choice Carefully

With the release of the seat matrix, the process of choice filling has also started which will now run from 7 September to 10 September. Therefore, while filling their desired choices, candidates must also look at the fees of the respective colleges.

Lock the choices only after filling all the choices carefully, because once the choices are submitted, no changes can be made to them. Candidates can fill and lock their choices from 4 pm to 11:55 pm on September 10.

Second Round Seat Allotment on 13 Sept

In case of not locking the choices by 11.55 pm on September 10, all choices will be auto-locked. Information regarding the second round of seat allotment will be released on September 13 and candidates will also be able to print the online allotment letter of the allotted college.

After the allotment is released, the candidates will have to appear in their allotted medical/dental/nursing college with original certificates between September 14 and 20.

Here, along with the original certificates, two sets of self-attested photocopies and the fee will also have to be deposited.

The Student will have to take the Decision

Since this is the second Counselling round of MCC, there is no free exit in it like the first round, the candidate has to take a decision to join his allotted college in this round or not to report.

Candidates who will not join their allotted college can choose exit with fitter, under this option the security deposit of the candidates will be confiscated by MCC and if they want to participate in the All India Third Round Counselling of MCC, then they will have to make a new registration and pay a new security deposit, only after that they will be able to participate in the third round.

Such candidates who wish to participate in the third round will have to join their allotted college and they will also have to inform the admission authority of the allotted college from the second round about their willingness to participate in the third round.

If the candidate is satisfied with his second round allotted college and does not want to participate in the further round, then he will have to inform the admission authority for this as well.

The third round of MCC All India UG Counselling 2024 is proposed from 26 September
