Choice Filling Process Started in the First Round of Online Counseling of MBBS and BDS of MCC All India Quota
For the first round counseling of MCC All India Quota, 11798 seats of MBBS in government colleges, 10649 seats in deemed universities, 778 seats of BDS in government dental colleges and 3290 seats in deemed universities are displayed in the form of matrix.
MCC also released the MBBS and BDS seat matrix of All India Quota on its official portal on Tuesday night. With this, the process of All India online first round counseling by MCC has also started.
Career Counselling Expert of ALLEN Career Institute said that the seat matrix in the online first round counselling has been released according to the availability of seats in different institutions, in which 11798 MBBS seats of government sector medical colleges and 778 BDS seats of dental colleges have been announced.
This also includes 1900 MBBS seats of AIIMS and 9415 MBBS seats of medical colleges of deemed area, which includes additional 1234 MBBS seats of NRI quota and 3183 BDS seats of dental colleges of deemed area and additional 107 seats of NRI quota.
764 MBBS and 95 BDS seats under internal quota seats of Delhi University and Indraprastha University will also be filled through this counselling. Banaras Hindu University has 100 MBBS and 63 BDS seats and Aligarh Muslim University has 150 MBBS and 50 BDS seats. Jipmer Pondicherry and Karaikal Campus have 179 MBBS seats available.
Similarly, ESIC Medical College has 446 MBBS seats and 28 BDS seats which are reserved for the children of ESI card holders. They will also be admitted through this counseling.
Choice Filling till July 28
Along with the release of seat matrix, the process of choice filling has also started which will now run from 22 July to 28 July. Therefore, while filling their desired choices, the candidates must also look at the fees of the respective college. Lock the choice only after filling all the choices carefully, because once the choice is submitted, no change can be made in it.
Candidates can fill and lock their choices from 4 pm to 11:55 pm on 28 July. If choices are not locked by 11:55 pm on 28 July, all choices will be auto-locked. Information regarding seat allotment for the first round will be released on 31 July and candidates will also be able to print the online allotment letter of the allotted college.
After the allotment is released, candidates will have to appear at their allotted medical/dental/nursing college with original certificates between 1 August and 6 August. Here, along with the original certificates, two sets of self-attested photocopies and the fee will also have to be deposited.
Since this is the first counseling round of MCC, there is also an option of free exit in it. The candidate has to either take the option of joining his allotted college in this round or the option of not reporting. If the candidate is satisfied with his first round allotted college and he does not want to participate in the further round, then he will have to inform the admission authority for this also.
According to the schedule announced by the National Medical Commission, this year’s academic session is proposed to start from 1 September 2025.
