More than 23 lakh Applications in NEET-UG so far
The online applications process for NEET-UG 2025 has concluded on Friday midnight. The online registration for NEET UG 2025 Examination had commenced on 7 February 2025.
The Registrations Window for NEET UG 2025 applications remained opened for nearly 1 months’ time. As per the information received so far, over 23 lakh applications have been received for NEET UG 2025 Exam.
NEET UG is the gateway to admission in the medical undergraduate courses of the government and private medical colleges of the country including coveted medical colleges like AIIMS.
The number of girls is increasing every year in NEET UG Exam
In the year 2019, the number of boys was 6 lakh 80 thousand 414 and the number of girl students was 8 lakh 38 thousand 955.
This figure of boys increased to 10 lakh 29 thousand 198 in the year 2024 while the enrolment of girl students had touched 13 lakh 76 thousand 863 mark.
This time also there is a possibility of more applications from girl students. Career counselling Expert of ALLEN Career Institute says that on an average the application of girl students is 55 percent while that of boys is 45 percent.
Students should keep these things in mind while making online corrections
Online corrections in NEET UG Application in NTA will start from March 9. This process will be from 9 to 11 March on NTA NEET UG website.
Students can view the submitted application by entering the registration number and password on the official website. Changes can be made in all other than registered email ID and registered mobile number, candidate’s name, candidate’s photo, candidate’s fingerprints, candidate’s local and permanent address.
Option has been given to add, delete and modify particulars. Students can make changes in personal details, information related to educational qualification, state eligibility, and category.
If a student wants to make changes from reserved category to unreserved category, then he will have to pay the difference through debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. No payment will have to be made for changing from unreserved category to reserved category.
At the same time, an additional fee of Rs 100 will have to be paid for changing from OBC or EWS to unreserved and an additional fee of Rs 700 will have to be paid for changing from ST SC to unreserved category.
