NEET UG 2025: Revised Schedule Released for the Second Counselling of All India Quota

The Date of Seat Allotment Result has also been Extended to 17 September

The Medical counselling Committee (MCC) has released the revised schedule of the second phase counselling of All India Quota (AIQ) on its official website. In this, many important changes have been made for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing Honors Course. This amendment is relief news for those students who were not able to complete the process yet.

New Deadline for Seat Allocation

The date of Seat Allotment Result has also been extended to 17 September. Earlier this result was to be released on 16 September.

Change in College Reporting Date

Earlier the process of college reporting was scheduled between 13 to 19 September. But now, according to the revised schedule, candidates will get time from 18 to 25 September for college reporting. This will give candidates enough time for preparation of documents and travel management.

Reasons for Change

Career Counseling Expert, ALLEN Career Institute, Kota, said that MCC had to make this change because some new medical colleges have recently been issued Letter of Permission (LoP). Also, the number of seats has been increased in some old colleges as well. It was necessary to revise the counselling schedule to include these new seats.

Expert Advice for Students

Expert has appealed to all the candidates that those who have not been able to register for the second phase counselling of MCC till now, should complete their process immediately. He said that it is very important to complete the process like registration, security fee deposit and choice filling by the last date. Waiting till the last moment may cause technical problems or network problems.

Revised Schedule of State Counselling

MCC has released the revised schedule of not only All India quota but also the second phase of state level counselling. The state counselling boards have been directed to complete their second phase counselling between September 15 and 25 and complete the college joining process by September 30.

Start of Academic Session

It has been clarified in the revised state counselling schedule that the academic session 2025-26 will start from September 22 itself. That is, classes in colleges will start on time, although the process of reporting and joining may go on further in some cases.

Useful Points for Candidates

  • Last Date for Registration and Security Fee – 14 September
  • Last Date for Choice Locking – 15 September till 8:00 AM
  • Seat Allotment Result – 17 September
  • College Reporting – 18 to 25 September
  • State Counselling – 15 to 25 September

The revised schedule of the second counselling of NEET UG 2025 All India Quota has given additional time and convenience to the candidates. With the addition of new colleges and increase in the number of seats, students will have better options available.

Now, students should take full advantage of this opportunity and complete their process on time. Experts at ALLEN Career Institute believe that this change is in the interest of the students and will make the opportunities for medical education more extensive.
