NEET UG 2025: Second Round Online Counselling of All India Quota Begins

NEET UG 2025- Second round online counseling of All India Quota begins

MCC also released the MBBS and BDS seat matrix of All India quota on its official portal on Friday evening. Along with this, the process of All India online second round counselling has also started by MCC.

Seat Matrix Released

Career counselling expert of ALLEN Career Institute said that the seat matrix has been released in the online second round counselling as per clear vacancy and virtual vacancy, in which 7315 MBBS seats of government sector medical colleges and 600 BDS seats of dental college have been announced as clear vacancy.

A total of 12930 MBBS seats of government, deemed and other categories, 1370 BDS and 335 BSc Nursing seats have been included in this counselling.

This also includes 328 MBBS seats of AIIMS and 3553 MBBS seats of medical colleges of deemed areas, which includes additional 936 MBBS seats of NRI quota and 614 BDS seats of dental colleges of deemed areas and additional 118 seats of NRI quota.

19 MBBS and 15 dental seats under internal quota clear vacancy seats of Delhi University, 4 MBBS and 27 dental seats of Indraprastha University will also be filled through this counselling.

17 MBBS and 46 dental seats of Banaras Hindu University and 25 MBBS and 11 dental seats of Aligarh Muslim University are available. 38 MBBS seats are available in JIPMER Pondicherry and Karaikal Campus which includes 31 All India Quota and 7 local internal MBBS seats.

Similarly, 145 MBBS seats and 19 dental seats of ESIC Medical College which are reserved for children of ESIC card holders will also be filled through this counseling.

288 seats of B.Sc Nursing Honors will also be filled through this counseling. MBBS seats and dental seats have also been divided separately in some other categories.

Along with this, 366 MBBS seats and 8 dental seats increased in medical colleges and selected medical colleges under All India quota included for the first time in this counseling have also been mentioned.

2 new medical colleges of Rajasthan, Jaisalmer and Tonk and 1 government dental college Jodhpur are also included in this list. 60 MBBS seats of new ESIC medical college and 700 MBBS seats increased in deemed universities have also been included.

Along with this, the seat matrix of virtual vacancy has also been released in which the seats of the joined candidates of the first round who have expressed their desire to upgrade in the second round will also be visible to the candidates during choice filling.

Choice Filling Begins

With the release of the seat matrix, the process of choice filling has also started which will run from 5 September to 9 September. Therefore, while filling their desired choices, candidates must also look at the fees of the respective college.

Lock the choices only after filling all the choices carefully, because once the choices are submitted, no changes can be made to them. Candidates can fill and lock their choices from 4 pm to 11:55 pm on 9 September.

In case of not locking the choices by 11.55 pm on 9 September, all choices will be auto-locked. Information regarding the second round of seat allotment will be released on 12 September and candidates will also be able to print the online allotment letter of the allotted college.

After the allotment is released, the candidate will have to appear in his allotted medical / dental / nursing college with original certificates between 13 and 19 September. Here, along with the original certificates, two sets of self-attested photocopies and the fee will also have to be deposited.

No Free Exit Like First Counselling Round

Since this is the second counselling round of MCC, there is no free exit like the first round, the candidate has to decide whether to join his allotted college or not to report in this round.

Candidates who do not join their allotted college can choose exit with forfeit, under this option the security deposit of the candidates will be confiscated by MCC and if they want to participate in the All India Third Round Counselling of MCC, they will have to do a new registration and pay a new security deposit, only after that they will be able to participate in the third round.

Such candidates who wish to participate in the third round will have to join their allotted college and they will also have to inform the admission authority of the college allotted to them from the second round about their willingness to participate in the third round.

If the candidate is satisfied with his second round allotted college and he does not want to participate in the further round, then he will have to inform the admission authority for this as well.

The third round of MCC All India UG Counselling 2025 is proposed from 23 September. As per the schedule announced by the National Medical Commission, this year’s academic session is now proposed to start from 22 September instead of 5 September 2025.
