After the release of the result of NEET UG 2025 exam, students are now waiting for the start of NEET UG counselling 2025. 12.36 lakh students were declared qualified in the NEET UG 2025 exam.
It has been a week since the result was released but till now no information related to admission counselling has been released on the website of Medical Counselling Committee, New Delhi. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has this responsibility to release NEET UG Counseling schedule and conduct counseling.
MCC releases 15 percent All India Quota, the schedule of MBBS, BDS counselling and the possible date of starting 85 percent state quota and medical-dental counselling. Generally, AYUSH counselling for admission in undergraduate courses of Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha and Unani systems is started only after the start of MBBS BDS counselling.
The entire counselling process will consist of multiple stages and possibly stray vacancy rounds as well, and the process may last for around 3 to 4 months.
Candidates need to register online by visiting the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
After registration, candidates need to choose the colleges and courses of their choice and lock them within the deadline.
Seats will be allotted based on the candidate’s NEET rank, options chosen, reservation policy and available seats.
Candidates who will be allotted colleges will have to visit the respective institute and get the required documents verified.
After successful allotment, candidates need to report to their college on time to complete the admission process.
NEET counselling may involve multiple stages like preliminary round, mop-up round and stray vacancy round to fill the vacant seats.
All states will conduct independent state counselling for medical seats under their jurisdiction. For these processes, one has to visit the website of the respective state directorate of medical education.
Keep visiting the official website of MCC (www.mcc.nic.in) and respective state authorities regularly for counselling schedule, registration dates, list of documents and other important instructions.
