A major update has emerged for the lakhs of students preparing for the national-level medical entrance examination, NEET-UG 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Advance City Intimation Slip for NEET-UG 2026.

This slip provides candidates with advance information regarding their examination city, enabling them to make necessary travel and accommodation arrangements well in advance. As the examination date drew near, students had been eagerly awaiting this slip.

This slip is issued prior to the Admit Card and provides information solely regarding the examination city, not the complete address of the examination center.

What is the NEET UG 2026 City Intimation Slip?

The NEET UG 2026 City Intimation Slip is a crucial document that informs a candidate about the specific city where their examination will be conducted.

NEET UG 2026 Examination Date and Time

The NEET-UG 2026 examination is scheduled to be held on May 3, 2026. The examination will be conducted in a pen-and-paper mode from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Process to Download the City Intimation Slip

Candidates can download their City Intimation Slip by following the simple steps outlined below:

  1. First, visit the official website: neet.nta.nic.in.
  2. On the homepage, click on the link titled “Advance Intimation of Examination City for NEET (UG) 2026”.
  3. Now, enter your Application Number, Date of Birth (or Password), and the Security Pin.
  4. After filling in all the required details, click on the “Submit” button. 5. Your City Intimation Slip will appear on the screen.
  5. Download it and take a printout for future reference.

Important Points Regarding the City Intimation Slip

  • This slip provides information only about the examination city, not the complete center address.
  • The Admit Card will be issued approximately 3–4 days prior to the examination.
  • Entry into the examination center will not be granted solely on the basis of the City Slip.
  • On the day of the examination, it is mandatory to carry a valid ID proof along with the Admit Card.

Why is the City Intimation Slip Important?

NEET UG 2026 Exam Pattern

The NEET-UG 2026 examination will comprise three subjects:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology (Botany and Zoology)

The question paper will consist of a total of 180 compulsory questions, which must be attempted within 180 minutes (3 hours).

Candidates belonging to the PwD/PwBD category will be provided with extra time (one hour), regardless of whether they utilize the services of a scribe or not.

Medium of Examination
