Opportunity to Correct Errors in Application form March 12th to 14th, NEET UG Exam to be Held on May 3rd, 2026
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the country’s largest medical entrance exam, NEET UG 2026, on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026. The exam will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM IST. The exam will be held at designated centres across the country and abroad.
NEET UG 2026 will be conducted in pen and paper mode, i.e. offline, with candidates entering answers on OMR sheets. Like every year, this exam provides admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses in medical and dental colleges across the country.

According to the information bulletin and public notice issued for NEET UG 2026, candidates were to be given the opportunity to make corrections to their application forms after the completion of the application process.
In this regard, NTA has announced that candidates who have already applied can check the information entered in their online application forms and correct any errors within the stipulated period.

According to information released by NTA, the facility to make corrections to the NEET UG 2026 application form will open from 12 noon on March 12, 2026. This correction window will remain open until 11:50 pm on March 14, 2026.
During this period, candidates can log in to the official website and make necessary changes or amendments to their application forms. The agency has urged all candidates to carefully check the information on their application forms and make corrections, if required, in a timely manner.

The NTA has clarified that this opportunity to make corrections to the application form is being offered only once. Under no circumstances will corrections be permitted after the deadline of March 14, 2026.
Candidates are therefore advised to check their information as soon as possible and correct any errors within that time. Once the corrections are submitted, the application form will be frozen.

Candidates are allowed to make changes to certain details in the NEET UG 2026 application form. Candidates can make changes to any of their parents’ names, such as Father’s or Mother’s name, qualifications, and profession.
Furthermore, educational qualifications, such as Class 10 and 12, and the state or union territory from which they passed or are pursuing Class 12, can also be changed.

Candidates are also allowed to amend their category, sub-category, or PwD-related information, the number of NEET attempts, signature, and other academic details.
Candidates can also change their choice of exam city and exam medium based on their permanent and current address. Candidates who have registered using an identity proof other than Aadhaar will also be allowed to amend their identity details.

If changes to the application form affect the exam fee amount, candidates will be required to pay an additional fee. It has also been clarified that if a candidate has previously paid an additional fee, it will not be refunded. Only those corrections will be considered for which the required additional fee has been paid.
