Students Should Not Forgo Registration for Session 2 Exam Due to Lack of 75% Board Eligibility

3 Lakh 25 Thousand New Application, Registration Till March 12

The application process of JEE Main 2023 Session 2 (April Session 2), the country’s biggest engineering entrance exam, is now in its final stages So Not Forgo Registration for JEE Main 2023 Session 2 Exam Due to the Lack of 75% Board Eligibility. JEE Main session 2 registration window will close on March 12 at 9 pm. There have been 3 lakh 25 thousand new applications for the April exam, these are students who did not take JEE Main January exam earlier and are directly applying for the April exam.  In such a situation, the number of unique candidates for JEE Main – 2023 will be more than 11 lakhs. Candidates can do Registration for JEE Main 2023 session 2 on jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Aspirants Should Apply for JEE Main 2023 Session 2 Without Thinking About 75% Board

Education expert Amit Ahuja of Allen Career Institute told that the students, who do not have 75% marks in 12th board, should not forgo applying for the JEE Main Session 2 exam due to confusion of 75% board eligibility because 75% board eligibility does not disqualifies from taking JEE Main exam. Even if the student does not have minimum 75% marks in class 12 then also he/she should not miss the chance to take JEE Main Session 2 Examination. The eligibility for appearing in JEE Main exam is 12th pass so they should appear for JEE Main 2023 Session 2 Exams. 

Also, there are many engineering institutes on the basis of JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced, where the board eligibility for admission is not 75%.  Colleges that offer admission on the basis of JEE Main are IIIT Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, LNMIT Jaipur, Thapar Patiala, Nirma Ahmedabad, JP Noida, DTU, NSIT, Dhirubhai Ambani, MIT Pune, etc.  Similarly, on the basis of JEE-Advanced, admission is available in IISER, Rajiv Gandhi Petroleum, IIP Visakhapatnam, IIST Trivandrum, IISc Bangalore institutes, in which the compulsion of 75% board eligibility is not applicable. Students will have to apply separately for all these institutions.  Whose application process will start in May and June.

JEE Main 2023: Session 2 Exam Dates

The JEE Main 2023 session 2 examinations will be held on 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 April 2023. Reserved dates for session 2 are April 13 and 15.NTA will use an online computer-based mode to conduct JEE Mains session 2. “The dates of Advance Intimation of Examination City, downloading of Admit Cards, and declaration of Result will be displayed on JEE (Main) portal in due course,” NTA said.

Fresh Aspirants & Candidates of Session 1 Can Also Apply for Session 2

The candidates who have already registered for Session 1 are not required to register again and they can directly fill the JEE Main 2023 Application Form. Those candidates, who have not applied earlier, need to apply afresh. It means both fresh candidates and candidates of Session 1 can apply for Session 2 of JEE Main 2023 Session 2 examinations.

The NTA notification on the session 2 registration commencement read that “The candidates who have applied and successfully paid the Examination Fee for JEE (Main) – 2023 Session 1 and wish to appear for JEE (Main) – 2023 Session 2, are required to log in with their previous Application Number and Password as provided in Session 1. They may only choose the Paper, Medium of the Examination, State code of Eligibility and cities for Session 2 and pay the Examination Fees”. The exam fee payment window will close at 11:50 pm.

NTA said that candidates are not allowed to fill more than one application form. Those who do will be treated as practicing unfair means (UFM).

“Any candidate with more than one Application Number will be treated as UFM (Unfair Means), even if found at a later stage, and strict action will be taken against that Candidate,” NTA said.

JEE Main 2023: Steps to Apply for Session 2

  1. Visit the official website of JEE Main, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  2. Click on the link that reads ‘JEE Main Application for April’23 Session’.
  3. Register by providing all the relevant details and login to the portal with the credentials provided on the registered email id & phone number
  4. Fill out the application form, Upload all the scanned & required documents.
  5. Pay the application fee
  6. Submit the form, download it as a PDF & take a printout as well for future reference
