According to another notification issued earlier by NTA, preparations are now being made to conduct a transparent examination for more than 50 lakh students. NTA is currently conducting CUET, the country’s biggest medical and engineering examination and the biggest entrance examination for central universities. Along with this, many recruitment examinations are also being conducted by NTA.
According to the notification, NTA is going to implement the mechanism, adopted to prevent malpractice and any kind of cheating, equally on all these examinations. Multiple verification, biometric, e-KYC, checking of students and various AI based tools have been used by NTA to conduct the examinations smoothly and transparently this year.
NTA has even sent flying squads to the examination centres for this. Even AI based control rooms have been created to control the examination.
NTA has clarified that the data at the time of taking the exam is being analyzed. During the examination, every activity of the student is being recorded through CCTV and AI tools. If any kind of doubt is found in the behaviour of those students during the examination, then their log will be studied after the examination and, after this, if the student is proved guilty of cheating or using unfair means, then action will be taken under the rules of Public Malpractice Act.
The student will be debarred from examination for this year and the coming year. Along with this, considering this matter as criminal, legal action will be taken. This year, for the first time, biometric testing is being done even at the time of going to and returning from the bio break during the examination.
