13 lakh 78 thousand Students Applied for January Session Exam, 13 lakh Students Took the Exam
After the completion of the countryโs largest engineering entrance exam JEE-Main 2025 January Session Examination, National Testing Agency has now released JEE Main 2025 January Session data.
According to these figures released on the agencyโs website, 13 lakh 78 thousand students had registered for the exam, out of which 13 lakh wrote the exam. The result of the January exam is proposed to be released on February 12.

Career counseling expert of ALLEN Career Institute said that this exam was conducted at 598 examination centers in 284 examination cities of the country. This exam was conducted in 15 countries along with India. The total attendance of students in this exam was 94.5 percent. In such a situation, about 1 lakh 30 thousand students appeared in the exam held in each shift.
Students kept waiting for the application of April exam on Friday, 31 January. According to the predetermined procedure, the application process was to start from 31 January. Looking at the trend of the past years, more than two lakh new students apply for the April exam.
According to the released data, 13 lakh 78 thousand students had applied earlier, in such a situation the number of unique candidates is believed to be more than 15 lakh, which could be the highest number in the history of JEE-Main. The last date for application for the April exam is February 24.
The question papers of JEE-Main January Session exam and the recorded responses of the students can be released in the next two-three days along with the provisional answer key. Students are advised to download and keep the recorded responses because the recorded responses and question papers are available on the JEE-Main website only for two days, after which they are removed from the website.
