It is noteworthy that 12 lakh 31 thousand aspirants had applied for the January session so now the number of unique candidates, including both the sessions, is likely to be around 14 lakh. Jan Session Aspirants Were Not Getting Fees Payment Option for the April Application
This year students were facing problems in depositing the application fees for the ongoing JEE Main April session application process. Aspirants, who had earlier applied only for January session and had deposited the application fee accordingly, wanted to apply for the April session, they were not getting the option to deposit the examination fee during the application process.
Due to some error, their application process was shown as complete and its confirmation was reflected for both the sessions, whereas the examination fees was visible paid for only one session. In such a situation, students were neither able to deposit the application fee for the second session nor were they able to fill the second application as a new candidate.
Now, solving this technical problem, the NTA has given the option to pay the application fee for these students. Now students are able to pay the application fee separately for the second session. Thousands of students have got sigh of relief after this correction.

Jan Session Aspirants Should Apply for the April Session with Application no. & Password of Jan Session
Those students who have already applied for JEE-Main January should apply by logging in with their old application number and password, because after taking the January exam, they have to apply with their old application number and password. If a student applies for both January and April sessions with different application numbers, both his applications may be cancelled.
Also, if these students have two applications, two All India Ranks can be issued, due to which there is doubt about the applications of the students. In such cases, NTA may consider multiple applications made by a student as unfair and cancel the application.
