NTA Has Issued a Public Notice About the Re-Conduct of the NEET-UG 2024 for 1563 Candidates
The NEET UG 2024 Exam was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on 05 May 2024 from 02:00 to 05:20 P.M. (IST) at 4750 Centres in 571 cities (including 14 cities abroad) for more than 24 lakhs candidates. The result of NEET (UG) 2024 was declared on 04 June 2024.
The High Powered Committee was constituted and set up to examine the issue of grant of compensatory/grace marks to 1563 candidates as grievances had been raised in respect of the said action.
The High Powered Committee after in-depth consideration of all relevant aspects submitted its recommendations/report which has been accepted by NTA.
As per the recommendations of the High Powered Committee, NTA decided to reconduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) [NEET (UG)] – 2024 on 23 June 2024 for 1563 candidates who had experienced time loss during the originally scheduled examination on 05 May 2024 and were awarded compensatory marks.
Consequently, the decision has been taken by the NTA based on said recommendations whereby the re-examination will be conducted only for candidates who were awarded “compensatory marks” during the initial evaluation.
The re-examination will be conducted as per the following schedule:
(i) The Score Cards of all affected (1563) candidates issued on 04.06.2024 will stand cancelled and thus withdrawn. The affected 1563 candidates will be informed of their actual Scores (without compensation), through their registered email IDs.
(ii) A re-examination will be conducted for the affected candidates (1563).
(iii) The result of those affected candidates (1563) who do not wish to appear for the reexamination, will be declared based on their actual marks (without compensation) obtained in the examination conducted on 05.05.2024.
(iv) The marks obtained by the candidates who will appear in the re-test will be considered and their marks based on examination on 05.05.2024 will be discarded.
The Admit Card for the candidates concerned will be issued subsequently. The fresh Score Card after the examination in case the candidate appears for the re-examination will be hosted on the website after the examination.
In case any candidate faces difficulty in downloading the Admit Card for the NEET (UG) – 2024, he/she may contact 011–40759000 / 011–69227700 or e-mail at neet@nta.ac.in
