Prime Minister Praises Devesh and Debdatta’s Achievements in ‘Mann Ki Baat’

ALLEN Kota Classroom Student Devesh Wins Gold and Debdatta Wins Silver at International Chemistry Olympiad

Students from the Career and Care city of Kota continue to make the nation proud with their achievements. Acknowledging their performance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Devesh Pankaj Bhaiya and Debdatta Priyadarshi during the 124th edition of his radio program Mann Ki Baat, broadcast on Sunday. Both are classroom students at ALLEN Career institute Kota.

The final round of the International Chemistry Olympiad was held in the UAE, where four students represented India — two of them were from ALLEN Kota. Devesh Pankaj Bhaiya won a Gold Medal, while Debdatta Priyadarshi secured a Silver Medal. Devesh achieved this feat while studying in Class 12, and Debdatta while in Class 10.

Olympiad medalists have made country proud

Prime Minister Modi stated, “A few days ago, our students won medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad. Devesh Pankaj, Sandeep Kuchi, Debdatta Priyadarshi, and Ujjwal Kesari have made the country proud. Alongside this, India also strengthened its position in the International Mathematical Olympiad held in Australia, securing 3 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Bronze medal.”

Notably, Devesh has been a classroom student at ALLEN Kota for the past seven years, and Debdatta has been with the institute for three years.

Nitin Kukreja, CEO of ALLEN Career Institute Private Limited, stated that ALLEN Career Institute is making every possible effort to bring forward the country’s talent at national and international level Olympiads. This is the reason why every year, ALLEN students perform exceptionally well in international Olympiads and make India proud.

ALLEN started its efforts for Olympiad preparation in the year 2013. Within a few years, better results began to emerge. Till the year 2024, ALLEN students have won 69 gold medals, 54 silver medals, and 12 bronze medals in various international Olympiads.

The highest number of 38 gold medals has been achieved so far in the International Junior Science Olympiad. In addition to this, 10 gold medals have been won in the Physics Olympiad, 6 in Chemistry, 4 in Biology, 3 in the Mathematical Olympiad, 5 in Astronomy and Astrophysics, and 3 in the Junior Astronomy Olympiad.

“ALLEN Helped Strengthen My Concepts,” Says Devesh

Thanking Prime Minister Modi for the recognition, Devesh Pankaj said that Science Olympiads should be given the same importance as the Olympic Games, with participation from students across the country.

“The academic environment and support I received at ALLEN Kota helped clarify my basic concepts. There’s a strong ecosystem here for preparing for both competitive exams and Olympiads,” he said.

“Kota Helps to Grow,” Says Debdatta

Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister, Debdatta Priyadarshi said that his achievement is a result of both his personal efforts and the support of ALLEN and Kota.

“The environment of Kota and its competitive spirit made me stronger every day and prepared me for such achievements. I worked hard, but it was ALLEN that guided me on how to work hard. The faculty was with me every step of the way.”

Debdatta is currently preparing for JEE Advanced and has been living in Kota for the past three years. His family is based in Bhubaneswar.

Devesh Pankaj Bhaiya’s Academic Journey

Devesh has always maintained an excellent academic record. He was recently selected by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), one of the world’s top-ranking universities. He scored 96% in Class 10 and 97.6% in Class 12. In 2020, he was honored with the Bal Shakti Puraskar by the Prime Minister of India.

He won Gold Medals twice in the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) and holds the distinction of being the first Indian student to represent the country at IJSO while in Class 8. He has received hundreds of medals and certificates in various national, state, and international Olympiads. In the JEE Advanced 2025 results, Devesh secured All India Rank 8.

In JEE Main, he achieved a 99.9976 percentile, earning All India Rank 65. His father, Pankaj Bhaiya, is an architect, and his mother, Pallavi Bhaiya, is a civil engineer.
