MBBS and BDS Seats were Allotted at Extremely Low Scores
An important update has emerged regarding medical education in Rajasthan. MBBS and BDS seats were allotted at extremely low scores under the State Special Stray-Vacancy Round conducted by the Medical-Dental Counseling Board, Jaipur. This information is of particular importance to both medical aspirants and parents.
12 vacant MBBS and 1 BDS seat were filled under the Special Stray-Vacancy Round. Of these seats, the final MBBS seat was allotted to a NEET-UG 2025 All India Rank of 13,17,580. This seat was awarded at a 40.278828 percentile, considered one of the lowest percentiles ever.
According to education expert, based on scores, this allocation was based on approximately 113 out of 720, which translates to approximately 16 percent of the total. This is being considered an exceptional example in the medical admission process.
Of the 12 students who were allotted MBBS seats in this special round, five had a NEET-UG 2025 percentile below 50 percent. This indicates that the stray-vacancy round could prove to be a final and effective opportunity for students who missed out on a seat during the general counseling process.
Seat allocation details based on rank
The only BDS seat allocated in the special stray-vacancy round was awarded to an All India Rank of 723,212. This seat was allocated in a private dental college in Jaipur.
This entire allocation clearly shows that for students who are discouraged by low marks or low percentiles, the Special Stray-Vacancy Round can be a last but crucial opportunity. Participating in counselling and making the right choices at the right time can often change the course of their career.
The Rajasthan State Special Stray-Vacancy Round 2025 has set a new record in the medical admission process. The allocation of MBBS seats based on 16 percentiles proves that it’s important to maintain hope until the final round.
This round could open new doors to new possibilities for thousands of medical aspirants in the years to come.
