The Second Online Counselling Process will Start from 8 September 2024
After the completion of the Rajasthan NEET UG 2024 first round Counselling process, the schedule for the second round of Counselling of Rajasthan NEET-UG 2024, under the admission process for MBBS and BDS courses, has been released as an official notification on its official website.
According to the information released, the registration process for the second round of Counselling will be completely in online mode and its process will start from 8 September and will continue till 12 September.
During this time, the new candidates participating for the first time will have to fill their registration form and also deposit the appropriate registration fee which will be 2500/- for General, General EWS, OBC and 1500/- for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe. However, there is no need for the candidates registered in the first round of Counselling to register in the second round.
After this, on September 14, the Counselling Board will release the state merit list of registered candidates, which will have a combined list of General, General EWS, OBC Scheduled Caste Scheduled Tribe, Tribal Scheduled Tribe and PWD candidates along with a separate list of category-specific students.
Category Wise Security Deposit
Rs.50,000/- for General/EWS, SC/ST/ST-STA/OBC/MBC candidates opting for Government seat (MBBS course) in Government Medical Colleges, Government Society Medical Colleges, RUHS CMS, ESIC MC and Geetanjali Medical College Government seat (1 seat). Rs.2,00,000/- for candidates opting for a Management seat (MBBS course) in Government Society Colleges and RUHS CMS. Rs.5,00,000/- for candidates opting for NRI seat (MBBS course) in Government Colleges, Government Society Colleges and RUHS CMS. Rs.5,00,000/- for candidates opting for MBBS course in Private Medical Colleges. Rs.10,000/- for candidates opting for BDS course in Government.
Dental Colleges (RUHS College of Dental Sciences) and Private Dental Colleges [Candidates who have deposited Rs.2,00,000/- or Rs.5,00,000/- will automatically be eligible to fill the options for Government Medical/Dental Colleges, Government Society Medical Colleges, RUHS College of Medical Sciences, RUHS College of Dental Sciences, ESOC Medical Colleges and Geetanjali Medical College Government Seats (1 Seat) and Private Dental Colleges. Candidates who have already registered and have been allotted colleges in the first round are not required to make fresh security deposit.
However, candidates who have registered in the first round but have not made the security deposit can now make the appropriate security deposit which can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking and UPI.
If a candidate has been allotted a seat in Round 2 or subsequent rounds and does not join the respective institute, his/her security deposit amount will be forfeited. Also, the security deposit will be forfeited if the admission is cancelled due to any reason, such as if the candidate gives wrong information at the time of registration (filling of application form) on the basis of which he/she may be allotted a seat and is later cancelled by the Board or he/she fails to submit the required documents at the time of joining (within the stipulated time).
Second-Round Counselling Procedure
The second round counselling procedure will be as follows:-
Candidates seeking admission to all medical/dental colleges are required to deposit one year tuition fee of the allotted college (security amount will be adjusted in the tuition fee) through electronic (online) mode only in the bank account of Chairman NEET UG Counselling Board 2024, which will be handed over to the allotted college (see website for fee details of all participating colleges).
The receipt of such electronic transaction duly verified by the bank and original documents, and requisite bond are required to be submitted at the time of joining at the desk of the respective allotted college.
- If a candidate joins his/her allotted seat in any round of counselling, his/her security deposit will be adjusted against the tuition fee to be paid for the allotted college.
- If the security deposit is not forfeited or adjusted against the fee, the same will be refunded to the respective bank account from which the security deposit was deposited after completion of the counselling process.
- If a candidate is allotted a seat in Round 2 and does not join the allotted college, the security deposit will be forfeited.
- A candidate appearing in Round 1, who is not upgraded during Round 2 counselling or who does not participate in Round 2, may resign without forfeiting the security deposit within two days of declaration of result of Round 2, failing which he/she will be treated as a candidate appearing for Round 2 and rules will apply accordingly.
Process After Second Round Counselling Registration
The process after the second round counselling registration will be as follows
On 17th September, the counselling board will release the seat matrix for the second round counselling. The candidate choice-filling process will be completed between 15th September and 17th September and the choice submitted by the candidate will be auto locked on 17th September at 11:45 pm.
On 20th September, the counselling board will declare the seat allotment result of second round counselling on the website and the college allotted candidates will have to appear in person at the Academic Block, Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur between 21st September and 26th September with their original documents and security deposit slip.
Candidates participating in counselling round 1 and getting upgraded to counselling round 2 will also have to bring the verified proof of allotted college fees (online fee deposit slip) before their counselling round 1.
The original documents of the candidates and the related fees will be transferred directly to the Round 2 upgrade college within 24 hours of their personal reporting. If there is any difference in fees (as per the allotted college), then that too will have to be paid by the candidate.
This year’s academic session will start from 1 October 2024 as per the National Medical Commission.
